I’m assuming people are mentioning Twine as they look at the number of games he played last year and didn’t realise he was injured?
Think more the fact now they are in prem I don’t think he will play

Not sure if I'm adding much to what is already known/suspected about the current situation but...
Apparently he is very keen to stay at City. He likes the area and is settled with his partner who is from the area.
The contract offer on the table from City is half of his currently contract, which is rumoured to be £25-30k pw depending on whether you include the signing on fee which is spread across the contract length. So the offer on the table is somewhere around £12.5k - £15k pw.
There has been tentative interest from abroad but no firm contract offers as yet.
Clearly, the longer there are no firm, better offers from other clubs, the more likely it is he'll sign a new deal at City.
But it's certainly not clear cut he'll leave the club and I'd reiterate, his strong preference is to stay at City.
Be very Suprised if we are offering that sort of money for a player who can’t stay fit

Yeah I can see how that could work:
Would be a decent line up, we Know both Sykes and Bryan can switch roles with Tanner and Pring which would allow great overlap opportunities, James is very solid in the middle and would be great at linking players up, McCrorie would be able to drop in between Atkinson or Dickie or even rotate with them if Atkinson or Dickie brought the ball forward. I think the only question mark would be Mehmeti as we've not really seen him in that role too often, although he is exactly what we need in terms of someone to get the ball in a central position and threaten the opposition back line by going at them or looking for passes to Conway or even Bryan or Sykes coming in from the wide positions. A few diagonal passes from that AM position to the wide men cutting in could cause real issues for the opposition. That looks a very strong side

Coventry were quite impressive last season, which initially surprised me - I had underestimated them. So far, however, they look pretty mediocre in this game. Had their fair share of possession, but not done a great deal with it. Don't look particularly dynamic and seem ill at ease with Sunderland's pressing. Also giving the ball away regularly with sloppy passing. All in all, Sunderland well worth their one goal lead.
Def overachieved last season .

Sounds to me like massengo will be sold and that vyner is still with the club only because the lack of numbers in defence .

Would anyone care to hazard a guess as to the fee? When the fee is undisclosed, is it possible at a later date to gain access to the details through end of year published accounts etc?. Or does it remain a dark secret?
Would guess around 200k with a sell on clause .

Not in terms of money no, he'd have zero input
He'd identify a player he wanted or more then likely a position he wanted, the recruitment team would identify said player names would be passed to johnson then any negation would have nothing to do with him,
Any money side of things is not in the managers remit in the modern game,
I disagree mate

Little Lee was the manager he didn't negotiate the contract or transfer fee
Ye agree but I also imagine Lee Johnson had a lot of input

If palmer and kalas both end up leaving that is potentially 11 million pound we have parted with to receive possibly 1 million back from kalas .

He is under a legally binding contract, he is entitled to that money
That is what I am saying why would city pay him 25 a week for another year to terminate his contract
