  1. Wonder when this was filmed. I saw Alan Cumming in Corn Street when I worked there sometime between 2010 and 2012. Probably was filming this I guess.

I also saw Johnny Vaughan having a coffee while filming Mud Men on Corn Street, David Hasslehoff wandering around and lots of other filming going on. Interesting place to work.

That's all we need. We already don't get penalties. Imagine our forwards Klinsmann diving all over the box.

He made quite a successful career out of it, and he has done well in management too.

  3. I thought it was a decent interview and JL came across well. It didn’t need to be a grilling. Only those foaming with rage on OTIB want that.
It seemed to me as an attempt by a new presenter starting channels of dialogue, which JL admitted haven’t been good recently.
There’s much more chance of another interview now, than there would have been if it had been an interrogation.
There is obviously something behind the scenes that none of us are party to, and neither will we be. And that’s ok. Working relationships change and go sour. The execs get paid to make decisions whether fans agree with them or not. Thats what they have done. Hopefully the next bit of recruitment will be decent, but it won’t please everybody and that will be the next thing tooic to discuss.
    Onwards and hopefully upwards.

  4. It’s a great documentary. Really well made. I forgot about how long the abuse carried on for after 1998. Pathetic really. But anyone that says he is overrated knows nothing about football. He had a better left foot than a lot of right footed players and is one of England’s all time best. It helps that he played in an all-conquering team but he was part of it, not carried by it.

  5. I’ve never understood the ‘turgid’ football argument. He gets teams winning and has a number of promotions on his CV. If you are scoring more goals than the opposition regularly enough to get promoted, how can that be a bad thing? Or is our current style better than what his teams have served up and I’m missing something.

I used to really hate the man. He wound me up, but then one day I realised, that was what he was about. When I realised he was just a pantomime villain playing a role, my opinion of him completely changed. He would have been exactly what we needed but we have been too nice for him to be our manager for decades

We’ve got the Euros first in 18 months time.  Not easy qualifying group with Italy, Ukraine, North Macedonia (who knocked Italy out of WC qualifying PO) and Malta who will be the whipping boys of the group.

Yeah, tricky qualifying group for once.

I think the OP might be after a new photo of the bar empty, from the same spot as the video was taken. That's how I read it anyhow as a screenshot is easy to take from the video.

Thanks. You’re right. Sorry if my OP wasn’t that clear. I take a lot of Then and Now photos for an Instagram page and thought it would be interesting to try one for this video.

  8. It’s only ‘paper losses’ until he crystalises the loss by taking money out/selling shares. Your pensions will have lost around 10% this year but they’ll go back up again in the long term. SL won’t be worried.

and with HL shares down over 50% from their peak, an alternative way to look at it is, they are a great buying opportunity at the moment.
