  1. Heavy handed policing and zero tolerance from the club have everything to do with how other fans behave. They didn't just wake up and decide one day to be a bastards about it. It took years of violence for the current state of affairs to evolve. It will not change whilst people condone, excuse and continue that kind of thing so it makes no sense at all to complain about injustice at the same time as attempting to justify hurling coins.

The above (part) post by Nibor highlights the hypocrisy of those defending violence in football, who then bleat on about how badly they are treated by the club, police and stewards.

I suspect many of those protesting about the dawn raids and bans being handed out, have indeed been involved in similar unsavoury behaviour. Can these 'supporters' not see that the legacy of years of thuggish stupidity has reaped today's environment.

You can only blame yourselves for making a rod for your own backs.

  2. I don't get down much these days but was there tonight. Really impressive performance; got a huge slice of luck with the first goal but made all the clear-cut chances on the night. Watford

were good on the ball but don't think Heaton had

a save to make all night.

    Kelly and in particular Moloney were excellent;

Anderson was very good too. Baldock didn't

stop running all night but should have slotted

    that one-on-one.

Only bum note for me was the people on

    Fontaine's back inside 30 seconds following a

weak clearance. I know he's had a shocking

season, but that sort of reception straight from

kick-off is hardly going to help his confidence is

it. He didn't put a foot wrong second half -

    there's undeniably a Championship-quality

centre-back in there if he can regain his form.

But anyway: feeling optimistic for the first time in

    weeks!

That's some City fans for you - on Font's back and yet no appreciation or apology when he plays his part in a brilliant team performance.

  4. What a dopey comment. Why not just enjoy the win and our first clean sheet. Why revel over the negative comments which have been fully justified over the past 6 months?

Dopey? Pardon me for thinking football was conducted over a season and not a few matches.

Those who castigate players over part of the season then hypocritically rejoice in victories involving those players should be ashamed.
