Back to Back promotion from the conference to League is very common, and then that club reaches its level. It just shows how bad the Conference and League 2.

Yeovil Town, Fleetwood, Stevenage all have done back to back promotions in recent years.  But obviously the gas will be claiming that their back to back promotion is unique

I love how they are celebrating the fact they are the only Bristol club to have done back to back promotions....

If we ever find ourselves in that position then God help us.

Won't hide the fact the with their end of match pitch invasion while Accrington were still playing I was hoping Windas Jnr would get a goal

  2. Just seen a video

    Cringeworthy celebrations.

some of the fans don't even have the human decenany to leave the pitch to welcome players and manager back on trying to get selfies and joining with the players celebration when they are trying to do the lap of honour.

    complete lack of respect.

To be fair though most of them have no probably gone home to molest their pets and beat up their wives.

either way, good for them but it's league one with a conference squad. Good Luck!

  3. I've noticed that they are doing a open top tour according to their website of NORTH Bristol.

North Bristol...where in North Bristol is this tour going....From Kingwood to Lawrence Hill.....So East Bristol then!

What a strange little club they are, they don't even know the area of the city they are touring around.

  4. no there is a 6 page thread because idiots like you bowie and taylor10 are making him a scapegoat like you always do

first it was Johnson then Elliot, fontaine now its baldock its as if city fans want to destroy players simply because they are jealous of them and their ability

The problems with all four that you mention is the same thing, all haven't good enough for a very long time.

Baldock has never to date proven his value, or his worth or his reputation as to why we signed him

Elliott - miles past his best but realistically won't be here beyond this season

Fontaine - see above.   One of the most unprofessional players I've seen at City in a long time, Will go down alongside the likes of Baird and Steve Jones based on their professionalism.

Johnson - Was out of his depth in the championship and no english league club manager other than his dad every signed him or give him a contract

as for wanting to destroy players, not in the slightest.  I don't boo them in the ground or give them stick at the games like those in the East End and Atyeo were doing.

But after the game you look at a player and some you can quite clearly point at being not good enough,

Saw the interview yesterday and it was the same kinda interview as 12months ago, a bloke lacking confidence,

just another wasteful striker passing through who will soon be gone, not fit to lace the boots of the likes of Taylor, Goater or Thorpe.

  5. That is what I am thinking. But so many seem to take it as fact. I want to see the proof.

No idea where 22 has come from, but prior to today Baldock has had

    12 goals

    36 shots on target.

I'd be suprised if 22 was accurate

  6. And JET is in a quality league all of his own as we know

The difference is Baldock is never a passenger. You could argue that if JET could gee himself up for every game, rather than every other game, we'd be clear of danger.

The bottom line is even the worlds best strikers miss chances. Baldock is far from that, but a return of 20 league goals, at any level, is considered an excellent return, and he is well on course for that.

If we were mid table this would be a non issue. But it's a lot easier for the unintelligent fan to jump on a striker for missing a chance than being able to recognise the defensive mistakes that lead to chances conceded

Make no mistake, it is our goals conceded that have us in the drop zone, not our lack of goals scored.

And yet our defence is the best of the teams around us, our problem hasn't been losing games this season (we have lost less games than peterboro), more that we have drawn too many because we aren't turning them into wins. Strikers not taking chances.

Defence has been improved in centre weeks with two new centre Halfs who will improve when they all know each other better, yet as today showed YET AGIN certain players aren't taking their chances.

  7. So because west ham panic bought a striker (it's what they do) he has to perform to a higher standard than anyone else in the league?

I fail to see how you can expect a striker in a team that's been as bad as we have all season to have more than Baldock does at this stage of the season.

    Jet has

  9. Why would you measure a striker on assists you clown?

I measure a striker at the end of a season on goals. SB is on course for 20+ which would be a phenomenal return given that we are looking at the real possibility of a relegation battle.

    No need for personal abuse.

You refered to Jets passing not me, you refered his inability to find a team mate, which is unfair considering he is top of both assists and goals this season. Striker are also based on assists.

When you compare Jet v Baldock, Jet without doubt has had a great impact on the team this season.

Baldock may or may not get 20 goals by the end of the season and he should given his reputation, however Jet will likely be on 20 goals by end of the month, whereas Baldock will be doing well still to be captain at the end of the month.

  10. Baldock is now joint scorer with JET. who knows who will finish the season on more.

At least Baldock wanted it today. More than can be said for JET who can seemingly do no wrong.

Much is made of Baldock's chances missed but nothing of JET who today couldn't find a team mate more often than he was dispossessed.

Apart from the FACT that Jet has scored more goals despite prior to this season never being an out and out forward.

Plus the FACT that Baldock is our pen taker so would likely get a few more goals as he has.

You mention Jets passing however would you like to down the route of assists this season v Baldock Or would you rather quit now and climb out of the hole you've dug yourself.

  12. Pitman scored almost 1 in 4 for us, Baldock is close to double that, yet everyone talks about how clinical Pitman is.:grr:

You link is inaccurate as it ignores the FACT that both Nahki Wells and Patrick Bamford have both scored more goals in this league this season.

Your stats also ignore THE FACT that Pitman played for us at a higher standard of football as all his goals were at championship level.

Pitman scored the goals that were required to keep us in the championship. Baldock contrived towards relegation.

  13. There's a reason Baldock's played basically every game we've played. We don't have anyone who will put the ball in the back of the net as much as he will, so maybe people should try supporting rather than constantly picking fault.

    .

    Apart from Jet obviously....

  14. For at least a week your comment will have legs. Enjoy.

Ok. As your being pedantic, I'll repeat the question CLEARER for you as you obviously missed the understanding.

Who has scored more goals in Championship season for City.

  15. Oh that Pitman, that is now back at his beloved Bournemouth, never starts a game and like with City ,is always on the bench. Pitman in the same class as Goater, now that is a big alarm bell for a clown comment. Mix the movement of Baldock with the finishing of Pitman, then you would have a player. Pitman was ok, but stop inventing hyperbole to suggest he was something that he was not. History too. Baldock is who we have, is getting into good positions, and if you research about strikers, you will find out that is the vital element. As over time, and seasons it is that which will bring goals. There was a very intense study made on this over a large number of players, seasons etc. Each player had a conversion rate and a level of chances created, that varied over time. At certain points everything goes in, then they get drought (Torres a good example) . Baldock is creating chances, scored 2 today, and will get over 20 this season. In a bottom 4 side. It is why sides need 4 or 5 strikers. At L1 level Sam is a good player.

Pitman, a lower league striker, scored 20 goals twice i think in a season in is career, last season too. Cannot score for toffee in the Championship. I am quite sure Baldock will get more than the 20 scored by Pitman last year in a promoted side, this season.

    Where is the problem.

More worried by letting in the same type of goals, diagonal balls into the box, players at back post, behind defenders.

Who scored more goals in a season for City?

    Baldock or Pitman

Perhaps you should check that and reconsider your comments
