  1. The validity of the knock downs are irrelevant in this context and that of the scoring of the bout after the ref gave it mate, hence my argument that Ball won!
  2. Haha, thought Ball scored far more clear shots in the majority of the rounds after the third, two counted kds too.
  3. Have you been at the crack again mate? Edit noooooooo Ball has been done dirty there imo
  4. Incredible work from Ball, absolutely relentless. Surely he's won by a mile.
  5. Yeah, he's been fantastic eh mate.
  6. Absolutely ice cold mate haha
  7. Punch him in the guts Nick ffs!
  8. Let's f******g go JJT! Nick Ball trying to fight a man 3 feet taller than him now haha!
  9. My partner's uncle! Duncan was a great bloke with a thousand tales, I was lucky enough to spend some time with him holding court in the bar behind his house in Worcester- normally with him trying to get everyone bladdered on overproof rum! He loved a drink and he really, really loved Worcestershire CCC and cricket in general. He wasn't quite good enough to be a pro, but found another way to change the sport. He'll live on through his son Paul keeping his name on fantastic bats. Rip Duncan!
  10. Little cheating shitbag Benn. And Haye wearing a hooded rag, wtf?
  11. Links https://fight.boxingstreams100.com/fight/3528/-anthony-joshua-vs.-francis-ngannou-
  12. What about Jake w@nkbag Paul v Mike Tyson too, just wrong. edit- Conor Benn v Manny Pacquiao too ffs
  13. No matter what happens in the ring tonight, there's no doubt who the winner already is. I f******g love Ngannou, he's an absolute hero, but I think we'll see a Ruiz 2 style points domination from Joshua- I just can't see him taking the sort of risk that would allow Francis to land on him.
  14. This is the thing isn't it. I've donated, and it's great to see so many ex and current players, staff, and the fans contributing. It'd be even better to see those far more able to contribute than most take the financial element of the worry out of Scotty's hands as recognition for all he's done for the club over the years imo.
  15. Hi @Spoons, thanks for passing on this sad news. Sorry for your loss. I only knew @B1ackbird through this thread and it was clear he had health issues, but they never seemed to get him down and he was always the optimist. It was like checking in with an old mate chatting boxing with him on here. RIP @B1ackbird, I'll miss sharing the moans when the big fights fell through, disbelief at some of the shocking decisions- but most of all the laughs over the years. Light to his family and friends.
  16. Muppet is indeed harsh, but I think it's reasonable to speculate about what a less conservative manager could do with the talent Southgate's had available. Can't argue with the way he and the team have represented themselves though.
  17. What on earth prompted this at 2100 on a Sunday?! We won mate, chill.
  18. Haha, the people replying thinking they've done something by suggesting it may be fake. Give me strength.
  19. They're also different per sanctioning body, to muddy the waters further. I could completely understand the issue the ref had with Whittaker turning his back, but many of the other calls he made seemed to be more based on him personally objecting to the showboating. Whittaker wasn't fouling or seeking to gain an advantage other than through his own skill and got talked to 5 or 6 times- yet refs are happy to watch fighters lie all over each other and hold with barely a comment. Whittaker is already one of those fighter as many people will watch hoping he comes a cropper than showcases his skills- and that's a profitable place for him to be, so I don't reckon he'll care which!
  20. All well and good against a 10-13 opponent eh haha. I don't hate the showboating, but someone with a pulse would be a step up. No idea why the ref was telling Whittaker off about it though- he's there to enforce the rules, not his personal opinion on pisstaking.
  21. I can confirm after many years of JJT's interjections on the boxing thread that although he might be blunt, he's definitely a ****, so fair play. Love you really @joe jordans teeth x
  22. Sending good wishes to your wife and you mate. As a City fan, the day you need to worry about being embarrassed by any sort of comparison from those ***** chirping on is a very distant one from here. All the best.
  23. Haha, was that filmed with a potato?! I honestly said to my partner last night that there's no way that this fight can be happening in 2 weeks given the absolute lack of any promo- then the day the Saudi w @nk fest promo drops, Tyson's suddenly injured. Let's see how quickly it's rearranged- a cut like that is 6 weeks tops.
