  1. As odd as the seeming increase of these incidents are in the crowd, of which I think all - or nearly all? - have been heart related; it's not as odd as the increase in players (and other athletes) collapsing, with a number of these also being heart related. Before everyone gets excited, there is a lot of odd things happening, and there should be a proper, impartial, investigation. Don't forget drugs companies have made mistakes before and been sued successfully for hundreds of millions of dollars. With the rush - and the prize of huge profits to them - to get vaccines developed quickly, it is entirely possible they aren't as safe as they should be.

  2. Make of this what you will, but last week I was watching a national news channel and on the headline strip at the bottom that keeps scrolling there was the following "Calls for military grade first aid kits to be available at sports stadiums and train stations". It didn't say who was "calling" for this, but it got me thinking at the time why would you want these specific types of first aid kits? How would a 'military grade' first aid kit be different to a 'standard' first aid kit, except in that I assume it would be able to triage bullet wounds and wounds caused by explosions? This was a week before the terrible incident at the Liverpool hospital too; so my presumption is that the Authorities already knew of a pending terror attack or attacks, and that stadiums and train stations were particular targets. Stay safe everyone and God forbid anything like this does happen.

Emile Heskey is a coach there. I believe Jonathan Morgan is the manager at Leicester.

Am hoping City Women would still be an attractive club for someone to join, even with the unfortunate news that Head of Women's Football Lee Billiard is now announced as leaving at the end of the month (my guess is he's been offered a lucrative offer elsewhere). So now we have no head coach, no assistants, no GM or director, and potentially no ground as there hasn't been an update on if the club would still play at Twerton Park or elsewhere.

Well, that's us well and truly snookered.

why on this earth would anyone want to purchase them?

One of if not the most pointless tinpot club in the whole of football, if the rumours are to be true loads of the make believers are already crowing about a new training ground and UWE being back on, will they ever learn?

    Fk Em.

    Nail. On. Head.

I was only musing on this the other day. Why would anyone think it's a good idea to buy a football club who only ever play in the lower divisions/non league with a small fanbase and incredibly poor facilities in a city that is not an historical footballing hotbed, when their neighbours are now arguably an established - or on the verge of becoming one - Championship team, with a billionaire owner, a fantastic new stadium, an ever improving academy, more media attention, and for the right reasons; that's also part of a growing sporting empire.

In an industry known for not being one that generates huge profits unless you're amongst the very elite clubs, any businessman or consortium would now have to throw hundreds of millions at da Roverzzz just to catch up with where we currently are, let alone surpass us. Unless this was another Bristolian billionaire who has a genuine love for the gas I just don't see why anyone would bother unless it's just to make some money on a land deal with no concern or interest towards the club. I'm sure there must be other clubs out there that would be 'cheap' to buy with more potential and less local competition that a prospective owner would take on as a project.

As a council, they do have a moral duty to help those less fortunate though, people that are struggling to make ends meet and who put other peoples homes at risk by squatting in them, that kind of thing.

The g*s meet all these criteria easily.

Very good point, with just a slight correction for you :-)
