And I can`t believe that you think we care whether it`s made up or not, he`s bloody funny no matter which one of us he supports.

If he`s gas then fair play for being able to laugh at himself but if he`s City I take my hat off to him.

Come on RHS keep up --  You ever heard the term " Tongue in Cheek "

Nor me, more sag delusion. About 75% of the crowd was red, the Tote was invaded several times and several hundred City fans were escorted around the back of the South Stand back to the Muller Bank.

Poor game though. Remember City needed three points from three games to go up and all of the games were in Bristol.

75% Your having a laugh. City had the whole of the Muller road ( say 6 to 7000 ) the rest was virtually all Rovers. And City fans think Rovers fans exaggerate.

Was it that many ? I thought the rest of the ground was "under subscribed". Our end was totally rammed and it was sweltering hot !

Both ends were rammed that day. Remember at end of game City fans invading pitch first then Rovers came on and chased them all the way up the Muller Road terracing.Mind you apart from one or two who left on stretchers. A certain Bob D was in his heyday that game.

Is that actually what was said..?

    And they call us obsessed..?!

That is typical of the lies and spin that the Rovers fans have had to endure, yet have lapped up for the last God knows how many years.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Rovers are further behind now than they were at the end of the Eighties, yet they seem to think that they are in the midst of some golden era.

    They are gullible morons.

They may be gullible but the moron lable/tag is definitely one for this side of the river. You only have to read this thread to know which lot of supporters are moronic and that is being kind.

So, loyal football fans of relatively small club queue for tickets for a plum cup match.  Meanwhile across the city, smug fans of club bankrolled by billionaire celebrate making online purchases from their sunbeds abroad.  Frankly, I'd rather be one of those Rovers supporters queuing for a ticket than a fan of one of the multi-million corporate entities who make-up our so called 'premier league'.  Am I the only here who rather admires fans who opt for the smaller club in a two-club city?

    You've summed it up perfactly

  6. Hey lads just to put this topic into perspective  --  I've been at Eastville when the East end were in theTote I've also been to Aston Gate when the the Tote took the East end -- so ******* what. It was thirty to forty years a go . I think we all need to move on

Most of you on this subject are a bunch of ***** for **** sake grow up this is now 2015 not 1970.

  7. Care to substantiate that allegation about the tent falling down ?

Our tent is in as good a condition as when it left Millets and it keeps hundreds of spectators warm and dry every season so please don't mock.

I have to concede your point on the white plastic chairs though because in my day we wouldn't have considered such scruffy tat even if it had  been invented then. Good old solid seasoned English chipboard was the order of the day at Eastville.

    Bert

I think your wit will be lost on most that have posted on this thread. In fact about 90% that post on this forum.

  8. Reading some of the comments on this thread --- I am bitterly disappointed some of you are so ******g jealous of what Rovers have achieved. I am one of the few that attend both grounds and in my honest opinion Rovers have had to put up with more shit than City over the 50+ years I have been watching. For gods sake it can only be for the good of Bristol they have won this battle and now hopefully Lansdown will get his act together and do likewise.

And for those fans that think having the Rugby sharing their facilities is a good thing well I can tell you it ain't.

  9. I for one am hoping they get the stadium. If it means we can both eventually be challenging for and in the championship and beyond, its time for Bristol football to get into the 21st century. Am I right in thinking the JR period for the original plans is over with next week? If so could be a massive week for Bristol football on the whole!

Excellent post. The sort of reply I would expect from most level headed true Bristol football supporters.

  10. Don't know where you or anyone else got that from Arn, it's just not true.

It's been stated many times that a redeveloped AG would produce 80% of the maximum income Ashton Vale could achieve.

It will be by far the best stadium in the Bristol area even if Rovers eventually get the go ahead for their shockingly tedious and characterless bowl..

Sorry Nogbad But i think Arn has got it spot on.

  11. Redeveloping AG into minimum 26.5k stadium (more with safe standing) vs the g*s plans that currently consist of no valid consent to redevelop their own ground and the UWE stadium going t1ts up?

What on earth are you going on about? Both clubs AIN'T going to get new grounds, time to face reality.

if you think by tarting up grounds is a good thing then you are clearly mistaken. What really pisses me off is the infastructure around both current grounds. Parking at AG is a ******g farce and only a move to a new all purpose ground can solve this.

In the "stadium race" we have just taken a strong lead, how the tables have turned...

Well if you think by us re-developing Ashton Gate is a step ahead of the Gas plans then i say you are clearly deluded. Both clubs need new grounds Not re-developments.
