The man behind this supposed 'takeover' is a certain Chris Samuelson - well worth a Google.
I work in Bracknell with a load of Reading fans, they fell of their chairs when this came out, he played a bit part in getting that dodgy Russian involved with Reading that they are still struggling to recover from. Sounds like a perfect fit for me, put that final nail in the coffin.

This might have been answered already but I missed it. Was Wade Elliot out there last night? He was announced as a sub, the BBC show him as a sub, yet I didn't see him warming up before or at half time and wasn't on the pitch at the end. Perhaps injured in the warm up or something?

On their forum accusing Trash of having a lack of decency to continue the process.
Let's get this right, you steal the ground from its rightful owners, then you try to build a supermarket on what is a War Memorial and you have the cheek to accuse people of a lack of decency. Of course I forgot, we're talking about the Gas, that explains everything.

the odds have to be on us keeping a clean sheet, it has to happen sometime ffs. 2-0

I posted this just before kick off yesterday. I stand by it 100%. It is a big help but we ain't out of the woods yet. There is still a lot of work, on the part of the players, and a lot of support on the part of the fans to be done. Let's have fullsome support on Saturday & even if it looks like going horribly wrong, no more barracking and booing please. Get behind the team. After last night they deserve it.
Well said.

Who said Osborne can't play wing back?

Brown envelope?

On the flip side, how many points would we have without his goals? Why aren't you bemoaning are lack of goals from midfield and defence as vehemently? Or does it not fit the agenda?
There have been plenty of threads moaning about our defence for goodness sake. Not sure how anyone can defend Baldock's finishing. He's not sniffing out a chance and getting on the end of the ball in a crowded box, he is missing clear chances that you would expect any striker to take, or at least get a higher conversion rate than he does. You can go right back to the second game of the season at Northampton against Coventry, he missed 2 clear and 1 half chance before Coventry scored, they of course took the first sniff they got and every subsequent sniff after that.

In my defence, I am more than happy to have a reasoned debate without any need for personal insults...with most!
My main concern is that because of the amount of fuss that's been made about Baldock's missed chances (despite the stats showing he's amongst the most clinical in the league), this presents a problem in itself.
Now, every single time Baldock has a goalscoring opportunity, he will be expected to score, and there will be loud groans every single time that doesn't happen, when the stats show that even players like Suarez miss 3 out of 4 chances they have.
I'd like to think that only 3 out of every 4 times Baldock fails to score, the crowd won't get on his back, but I know different.
There are chances and there are chances, I don't believe Suarez would have missed 3 of the 4 chances that Baldock had on Saturday. For the two one on one's he would have tried to go past the keeper and do a swallow dive for a start rather than gamble on getting it past the keeper at a tight angle.

Totally agree, people don't realise JET don't do no running off the ball which Sam does!!
He can do all the running he wants, missing the chances he missed today is unforgivable.

Is he right or left sided? That will be a good clue as to where he plays. SC has gone to great efforts to keep that balance even to the point of dropping Fonts in straight from his return from Yeovil.
Still two weeks of the window left to ship out some of the dead wood, we should judge it on February 1st.

If confirmed this has to be the end for Taylor? Loan until the end of the season then released? Could be a good fit for the Blue Few, though if it means they evade slipping through the trap door I would rather we kept him.

We won't defend for 30 minutes, we need another goal to win this one

Brilliant news, perfect end to the week, all we want now is 3 points at Tranmere and set me up for the week ahead
-
Were clubs queuing up for him before we took him then? Most of the teams we have played against in the last couple of years would never tolerate his work rate, the goals are the bonus but at a higher level he won't get the opportunities, I think he is always going to be a big fish in a small pond.

Crazy to think that Crawley would be a few points outside the play offs if they had beaten us tonight. I thought they were pretty lightweight. It wouldn't take much of a run to be up there competing.

Do you think The Sportman know that they are sponsoring a Pub Team? Nice to see they finally realise their place in the football pyramid.
