Is it also wrong to support/follow a lesser team? Or does it only apply to glory hunting?
I follow (mostly from afar) Crewe Alex, as my Grandad used to be a fan. My cousin got married on the centre spot at Gresty road. Grandad was always a bit jealous that I supported a “successful club” like City.
The play off final was a hard watch
I lived in Crewe for a while, so look out for their results too.

What is this "optimism", of which you speak?

I want SL to move on, but I don’t hate him. I dislike the way he runs Bristol City, but I don’t hate him.
Even at the point, where if I’d been in charge, I’d have sacked Manning, I didn’t hate him.
Not that I’ve expressed my opinion on this particular thread.
But suggesting “hate” from other posters is OTT.
Some wet wipes on here think any disagreement or non alignment with their views, makes you a "hater". FFS.

Managers referring to "the football club" when "us" or "the club" would suffice.

We slept thru it. Neither mum or dad were remotely interested and they slept thru it to.
I can’t remember the first time I saw it either but it was a big deal at school with all the pupils and teachers going on about the moon landing.
I was obsessed with all of it. Watching the build up to the final countdown was so exciting at the time.

They brought one into Samuel White's in Hanham so we could watch a replay of the moon landing. I think the original was in the middle of the night in the UK.
I remember my mum and dad getting me up in the wee small hours to see either the landing or take off from the Moon (cannot quite recall) I was only four, but can remember the images of fuzzy black and white.
