Was at Crawley watching City, remember we equalised and people were not that bothered. Everyone  was more interested 2nd half with the Rovers game than our own game.

Celebrstions at full time were unbelievable.

Unbelievable they were indeed, we danced all around that tiny ground.

The look on the Crawley fans faces was priceless

Was there that day too.  Only shot we had on goal.  I recall a Boro fan invading the pitch to protest about Lennie Lawrence.

    I went to that game

It will stick in my mind because of the choice of watering hole we choose before the game! What i thought was a fairly safe venue called Chaplins wasn't small at all and the rear of the joint was a sea of not to friendly locals.

We survived but didn't stay long.

Welcome to the modern day tented village ........

Gastwat1 FFS can't we get anything right?
The only thing I could do was laugh as the guy watched me beep my card at the machine before pressing a peddle to let me through!

Gastwat2 Appeared to work perfectly for me and most of the other 8600 in the stadium!

Gastwat1 : My point is they were not electronic. A guy watched the light come on and then pushed a peddle to let me through. Not sure if this was all around the ground but was certainly on the east side.

Gastwat3 : I thought it was priceless too. There was I expecting something like at Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge, even some L1 grounds. Should have remembered it's BRFC.

Gastwat4 : I banged my knee cause of a malfunction (the bloke forgot to press the peddle)

Gastwat5 " It’s not there to save staffing revenue it’s there to stop ticket fraud and turnstile operators pocketing some of the gate money ,Jobs a success

Billy Smarts Circus for the modern age....

Oh dear god that did make me laugh, especially the bit where he banged his knee.

Fair comment Miah and you've definitely improved beyond all recognition, much to our disdain! The problem for you now, is how to get to the next level which means serious investment? I'm not sure you're going to get it WTGR.

He's got a big watch mind!

We've done it too, It's a very common accurance.

some don't like to admit it but I've travelled en masse to Sheff Wed, west Brom (twice), Wolves, Millwall, Cardiff,Pompey, Brentford, Liverpool, QPR and then there was the Gas at home, Everton at home (fans clashing with evertons firm, as they did the same and who can forget the Chelsea game at home were run ragged by many that didn't attend the game and a lot that forced their way in !I've also been to Millwall, brum with no intention of going to the game.

Trust me it's a recipe for disaster, costs the clubs money as extra police get involved, we've got one of the worst reputations in the country for violence and as a big club in the conference at least Rovers bullied themselves into having a similar reputation. Albeit on a pathetic level. This is not the answer.

I would plan a mass boycott of the Swindle game if I was a gas supporter. The decision by that Swindling bar steward Power is disgusting and is all about making money out of the away fans!

approx £50k by my reckoning, swindle don't have big crowds and not many would potd if the gas boycotted so it would hit power and swindle hard financially.

Personnally I can't stand the man

It will be tough.  Oxford were better than us last year but now Kemar Roofe has joined Leeds and Matty T decided not to leave us for Oxford, we stand a good chance of turning them over in the West Country/South Midlands localish derby.  How do you describe where Oxford actually is in the country?

The wrong side of Swindon so enough said

Just one more point .. you said " to this day from the 80s it's been a piss take "  The last time we were at Ashton Gate was a piss take for The Gas .. I don't involve myself in that anymore because of my job etc but The KFC area was buzzing  ..

    The KFC area was buzzing?

Blimey them old gasheads are getting brave that must have been all of 75 yards from the away end exit.
