  1. Just rewatched the last part of the game (first 75 mins were on fast forward!)

I did notice that with all the substitutions going on around the 80th minute, although TC came on at 78 mins, the game didn’t restart until 80.04, and he hit the net at 80.44 - so actually 40 secs of play until his goal.

    Any quicker City substitute goal?

That's what it reminded me of as well. I was actually really pleased when it was called off at even with my coat I was absolutely drenched!

I remember walking back after the game was called off and a car went through a huge puddle and drenched me  - I was no wetter after than I was before!!

It's 100% a completely new stadium. The location may be the same but it's certainly not a 'revamp' - none of the original stadium remains.

Not exactly true. It’s moved half a stadium north. The centre spot of the old stadium is now marked by a plaque in the concourse of the new stadium and much of the old stadium is incorporated as hard core underneath. Incidentally there was a mysterious fire one night in a sheet metal business at one end of the stadium (just happened to be the last one holding out from the developers)!

Just going through some of my old school photos, and came across this! I’m the handsome one in the back row ( I’ll let you work out which one I am!). Merrywood 1967-68.

More interesting than me is one of my classmates - see if you can spot him!!!

Is Pearson trying to see from how big a distance he can manage a game? Last week the stands, tomorrow Bristol, then the Isle of Skye, then New York, maybe Timbuktu for Sheff Utd away, a quick trip to Auckland for Derby, then nip up to the International Space Station* in time for Hull.

Jokes aside, I wish him a speedy recovery of course.

*I am aware that in terms of miles distant in a straight line, the ISS is at times much closer to Bristol or Hull than Auckland.

The ISS is closer than the Isle of Skye, New York and Timbuktu as well!

A football club is a single entity - so it’s correct to say ‘is’ - most people around football say ‘are’ as it actually sounds correct and less awkward than using ‘is’ - eg ‘City are at home on Saturday’ - but it’s correct to say ‘City is at home on Saturday’ as City is a football club - a single entity ... as you were ??

But City are/is not at home on Saturday, the season is over!

Also during the fun time non PC days of the 70's , petrol station events and promotions even included on occasion ' Topless Petrol Forecourt Attendants' usually provided by well proportioned ample bosomed local blond and brunette beauties.  I remember one such 'topless attendant event' at my local petrol station  in Longwell Green so know its a fact that it happened ?. Those were the days my friends!

Did you ask him why he was topless?
