  1. Hope all the City fans that have travelled have a safe journey back , just arrived Sunny and the wind has died down , what Ryan Lowe has brought to Preston is he has ignited after a couple of years of real discontent amongst the supporters and in his last 12 Months and under McAvoy the football was more dour than normal but Lowe has shown passion towards the fans and there is a genuine feel good around the club that has been sorely missing , we where decent at Stoke and West Brom in away wins , average v Barnsley in a 2-1 Win , superb with 10 v Sheff Utd but mullered in the first half with 11 , should have beaten Brum at Home and pretty awful at Swansea his only loss and Cardiff in the FA Cup…

Realiy like the look of your attacking prowess , Wednesday was our first clean sheet in 18 !!! , midfield we are strong …prediction 3-2 either way , enjoy the rest of the season

  2. First and foremost - I felt genuinely disappointed for the travelling city fans last night , also like another Preston fan offered a chin up it will be ok speech after the game as we walked back to the car and went on own ways , they didn't look angry just embarrassed and as I  got to my car after a 5-0 win I tried to remember a worse second half display from a side at Deepdale in my 40 + years of going on , as at today Im not sure Ive seen a side roll over and not give a dam ( barring maybe 2/3 players ) and clearly not playing for the manager , being outplayed ( seen that a lot ! ) is one thing , not trying is inexcusable as a professional in any walk of life and despite walking away the game it wasn't pleasant  even as a Preston fan , to see a tremendous club have to see that was and should not be allowed - Im staggered as to how he's still in charge today in honesty , not an ounce of gloating from me would have posted however the game turned out and I see no point in going through the game other than to say Ive seen some shockers from Preston sides getting hammered 6-0 and 7-4 spring to mind but not seen that many players not give a dam , full credit to Tammy and what it goes to prove is how valuable a manager is in motivating players , tactics , team spirt over price tags - nothing more evident last night than Barkhuizen a free form Morecambe and McGeady/Tomlin and worst of all for me the worst performance Ive ever seen Bailey Wright put in - he's not that bad a player , disappointed that he left but all his confidence looks gone and the taunting was petty and childish from our supporters for a player who gave it 100% every time I saw him play in a Preston shirt - not sure I could say that in the second half last night .... had the Huddersfield pre game to base my judgement on and never thought relegation was an issue despite results for you with that squad but having seen Blackburn , Notts Forest and yourselves in the last three games you look doomed unless Johnson is fired and an interim put in charge and with the fixtures left you survive IMO but not with a squad who threw the towel in last night ....

All the best for the rest of the season , can offer no words of sympathy but hope I see you at Ashton game next season in the Championship , travesty if not

That was our best / only display in months fella. I really wouldn't worry. Tammy is very, very good but we don't give him any type of service. As for fullbacks, what are they? We play midfielders in both fullback positions. McGeady, with his pace and movement, will have a field day up against Flinty and Bailey Wright.

You've really go nothing to worry about, we're a pale shadow of the team we were. Good players certainly but totally devoid of any leadership whatsoever. You will see lots of pointing and shrugging of shoulders from our lot as they don't seem to know what they are supposed to be doing.

    It really IS that bad!

Regardless I hope you stay up and sort out the club in the summer as you clearly state on paper that squad looks I would suggest as good as ours and makes me realise just how fortunate we are to have Simon in charge of recruitment and it is simply staggering to see us sat in 8th with the lack of money spent in assembling this team , of course I hope your team don't turn up tonight and we have a comfortable home win but regardless will be hoping and still think you will stay up as it woudl e travesty with the money spent and your fan base / ground to see you back in League One ...not often Ive said this being a Preston fan but McGeady is worth the entrance money alone this season / same perhaps as Tammy for you ... all the best Mortis

Hi Mortis, CIU from your forum here.

You are overestimating us mate, it should be a very comfortable home win. We won't spoil your holidays, at least I certainly don't expect us to.

Hi Ska , in fairness whilst we have had a superb season and Grayson is building a really good team with a blend of experience , youth and pace which we have missed , the areas of concern for me ahead of tonights game are we have three fullbacks out injured and have had for a period and playing Clarke at F/B whilst he is a club legend , the lack of pace and the gap exploited by Assombalonga is ready made for Abraham IMO , we also haven't found the right mix in recent matches to partner Pearson in midfield but the return of Gallagher is a huge plus for us and then other than McGeady ( and hes the key player for us and has been Premiership quality for months ) we don't have goals in us with Hugill looking very jaded , Robinson a little of the pace and still I keep seeing that 4-0 Huddersfield Town performance and knowing tonight we be a stern test regardless of your position / display at Brentford ....

  5. Cannot help but feel you will get at least a point tonight , my last day in work today for 2 weeks so a great start will be under the floodlights at Deepdale tonight , 1-1 has been my gut feeling all week but 2-1 either way would not surprise me in the slightest , anyway enjoy the game for those travelling and watching on the tele at your place and hopefully see you next season

  6. First and foremost Im not posting on here after the match to gloat ( not/never been my style ) would have posted regardless of the result as had been looking forward to the visit to Ashton Gate and to catch up with friends on the way down

Thought the first half was as bad as Ive seen us this season - yes we set up to frustrate ( and to a degree its worked this season ) but the 3 5 2 left Johnson and Gallagher way too deep and we surrended possession way to easily , creating nothing at all as an attacking force although other than a few fizzed balls across the box and some uncertainly between our keeper and our centre half didn't think you looked dangerous either , 0-0 was ok for us at half time but had a moan to my old man that it was pretty turgid and could be a long drive home , but after seeing Oskar the result was important but not the most important part of the night , second half we clearly changed our shape and came more into the game and slightly against the run of play went 1-0 up with the OG , unusual for us to concede quickly to what looked like a sloppy goal from our perspective but did expect us to go 2-1 up when Johnson was one on one after a howler by Ayling I think it was in midfield , would have taken 1-1 in honesty and Greg took his goal superbly and from where we were sat clearly wanted to get a message across to SC , thought City had run out of steam in honesty but the last 5 plus injury you threw the kitchen sink at us hitting the post , two superb saves and some last ditched defending gave us IMO an undeserved three points , 2-2 would have been fair but did make the journey home which was miserable due to the weather all the better

Thought Smith was your best player , Kodja frustrating but dangerous and being brutally honest two poor sides but we perhaps have a little more ' street wise ' tactics to see games out ...timewasting/defensive strength / squad size etc but your caused us problems down both flanks - Cunningham I think had his worst game in a Preston shirt and Woods the other full back had a horrid night , said it before the game and will say it again cannot see that side ( squad size when I read the programme was shocked as to the lack of players ) going down Ive seen far worse and on that performance there is not 13 points between the two sides

All the very best for the rest of the season , thought your stewards , staff and fans where a pleasure as always and I really hope we see each other again next season in the Championship
