Think what we are seeing with football clubs at the moment is the new variant is making it a lot harder to isolate/contain the virus within squads, instead it is spreading around training grounds.

Presumably the same scout that got Bodin in. How's he working out by the way?
Did okay, obviously has a lot of ability, think he’ll very good next season tbh.

Few rumours at our end that we're looking at Tom Lockyer from Bristol Rovers.

Don't be so darn negative man; you can still get promotion. Come on Preston, you can do it me babbers.
Derby are bottlers but just can't see them losing at home to Barnsley, regardless of their relegation scrap.

Bodin's done okay for us so far, but sense he will be very good next season with a bit more adjustment to the division and a pre-season at Championship level.

Ridsdale and Neil were at Oldham earlier to watch Bodin. Looking like we'll make a move.

300k should be sufficient to capture his signature. (The fee we paid for their star striker last season)
Although you might here the deluded blue few quoting 10 million for him.
He’s only got 6 months left on his deal so I’d have thought 300k is a maximum.
We’re also in for Lewis Morgan at St. Mirren, but they are demanding a loan back so I was told it’s led us to being seriously interested in Bodin.

I've heard PNE are in for Bodin.

Glad to see you pulling away - just need Forest and Birmingham to pull it together now and condemn Rovers to relegation.

You rightly criticise the defence but it now contains "one of your own" did Wright look noticeably worse than you remember when he wore the PNE shirt?
He was shite but your whole defence/defensive set-up was. Again I don't want to come across as boastful and upset people but we seem to defend as a unit whereas your lot were defending as individuals. I think Wright's performance shows that in many cases, a defender is only as good as the defensive set-up/the way the manager sets up if you know what I mean. I know Flint is a good defender from what I've seen in the past, Wright definitely is too, but if the set-up is all wrong what can they do? The responsibility lies with the manager. That Magnusson was particularly poor when he came on.

Right, so now I know why you pretty much unanimously thought you were going to get thumped tonight.
We weren't good in the first half but whenever we did get forward you looked open. Barkhuizen doesn't really miss those inside the box. I thought at half time if we could start playing properly on the front foot we could batter you because you looked so bad at the back, and that's what happened. You played some neat stuff at times in the first half but didn't create any clear cut chances. Abraham was a bit of a handful though.
Second half you just gave up and collapsed after the second goal. McGeady, Robinson, Barkhuizen and others were just rampant and your defenders weren't anywhere near them. It could've got even worse for you if McGeady had stayed on for longer.
Johnson looked lost on the touchline. He is so out of his depth at this level it's scary and it's very obvious to all (including opposition fans) except your owner it seems.
Chuffed at the result but obviously feel for your fans who travelled all the way up too.

Sky did say during their pre match build up that you really needed a win to carry on your push for the playoffs! I bet you never thought they`d be saying that with nine games to go did you? Keep it going (apart from being totally useless and just rolling over for the opposition on April 4th of course!) and you could well make it if someone else slips up - only six points off, that`s eminently doable.
Just don't think we've got enough consistency to overtake those teams. Can see Fulham leapfrogging Reading and Wednesday but Wednesday will hold on the 6th because I think Rhodes, Forestieri etc. will probably just about drag them over the line.

Another great win for you today. I'd make Simon Grayson Championship manager of the year for what he has done with limited resources.
I'm absolutely delighted about how our season has gone. If we hadn't lost 6 out of the first 8 games we'd probably be serious top 6 contenders. We just left some of our key business in summer a bit too late (Baptiste/McGeady on loan on deadline day) and it took SG slightly too long to find his best side. He's done a tremendous job though and I fear the vultures will be circling soon as we no longer appear to be going under the radar. Curbishley on channel 5 tonight said Norwich should go for him.

You've probably finished off Wigan there. Feel for Warren Joyce but glad they are going down all in all. Wigan fans are deluded at times.
We have Blackburn away next weekend so I hope we can beat them for you......although I suspect the game which will decide everything is when you go there towards the end of April.

It was a very enjoyable game it has to be said! How you getting on in your quest for strikers BTW, any irons in the fire? I certainly don`t want you to go down but do fear for you if you don`t get anyone in.
Nothing doing as of yet. Looks like Nathan Byrne off to Wigan and we wanted him

Definitely the best opposition player I've seen at Deepdale this season. Our lads like Alan Browne and Ben Whiteman are very good players at this level and no mugs physically, but Massengo just dominated them from start to finish.
