  1. I’m not saying anyone is more or less negative than positive.

what I am however saying is this is the close season now.  We are in a month where very little happens in the public eye and everything occurs behind the scenes.

yet still on here it’s full of negativity over a tweet which was I’m sure made out of humour.

the close season is a time to forget what’s happened last season.  Hit the reset button and get behind the club, the new signings, the manager and the squad in general.

In your point of Steve Lansdown being happy with his return for the millions he has put in I’m sure the answer would be no.  However it’s not your money so let’s not get too down and be grateful that the man is still willing to dip his hand in his pocket where required and give us all something to do on a Saturday.

I will be judging the ability of Brian Tinnion, Jon Lansdown, Liam Manning on there performances in their positions starting from June 14th when the transfer window opens.  Not basing it off a tweet on social media.

Of course you could argue that it’s because we just want better, and our critique is about driving standards that would mean improvement.  We could just let City become “cosy club” again.  That went well didn’t it?

    +++++

Whether the tweet in question was humorous or not, he obviously felt in better to delete (or was told to).  Maybe Brian Tinnion could take your advice and question before he types??? Touché

So in your opinion what has gone well over the last 20 years?

  3. Is a man not allowed a sense of humour anymore?

Tinnion has done nothing wrong here at all.  Those who are picking and digging at this clearly look for anything and everything to have a moan.

Get behind the club, the Lansdown’s, Tinnion, the squad and give them a platform of support to lean on and we may achieve.

Beating and Bashing everyone for every tiny little thing has knock on effects you wouldn’t ever believe existed, but they do!!!

so before you type some of you need to question whether you want success or you don’t, and going by the majority of people’s negativity on here you don’t!

  4. We will win each of our last 6.  Enter the playoffs with 71pts and surprise everyone.  Every team above us fixtures are very tough and can’t see any of them getting more than their requirements for 70 pts.

very much tongue in cheek, but what a story that would be.

Winning football games is what we all go for.  If we won our last 6 no one would care by the beginning of next season who played in them as long as positive additional signings are made.

  5. Much better today.  Now twine is back we will be better against teams in a low block.  The team set out how they were today with 2 floating 10’s, Pring going down the outside and Roberts joining in with confidence and quality from defence will help us break these teams down.  Judge Liam in these last 7 games when he has the players available that he’s wanted and brought in.  Twine was his ace in the pack.  Let Liam prove he has what it takes when he has the one player we all know the squad needed and has been unfortunately unavailable. Next season add a real championship quality all round physical striker I think he will do well.

I do think Pring would be better at LCB, he's played there before, bigger, stronger and more suited to the role and Roberts pushes forward more.

Roberts primary position is centre back.  The fact we haven’t played him there is not his fault.  He’s a very technically gifted centre back.  Similar attributes to Naismith.

Fantastic tonight!!  Every single player, coach and Sam Bell to a man.

    properly enjoyed that performance.

we are so much better when teams try to beat us.  We struggle against the low block!!

Singled out Sam Bell as I’ve given him a lot of stick recently, but the last 3 games I can’t fault the shift he’s putting in.  Well done Sam!!

Yep, he was one of many expecting a comfortable 3-0 win beforehand.

Go back to the start of this thread, absolutely full of people delighted Bell started & expecting us to piss the game.

Coventry unbeaten in 12 but what does that mean?

It was a good solid draw but having got infront 2 points dropped.  I wasn’t impressed with Bell again, and thought we looked much better once Mcrorie came on the right and Bell was replaced by Cornick.  Bell got into promising positions a few times but his touch and delivery all too often are letting him down.

You can't play your best available players every game. It doesn't work like that. There has to be rotation. That's why you have squads and not just 11 players. Sorry to break it to you but you can't just refill their stamina like you would on Fifa or Football Manager.

I’m not asking for the same 11 every game.  I’m sure if you watched you’ll admit to me that we looked much more dangerous once both Bell and Mehmeti were replaced.

Because Sam Pearson definitely would have scored 4 Championship goals in his first 9 games this season..

That’s why he’s playing National League South.

Truly embarrassing, there are several who are equally obsessed with Cornick but you know far more than Pearson or Manning who have both picked him, so pile on to an Academy product who is definitely a valuable squad player.

You’ve said it in your own words.  Squad player.  I’ll challenge anyone to tell me he’d be anywhere near their first pick in any position.  Even 2nd pick for any position when everyone is available.
