Just had an email from ESTC saying I need to register my flag for Euro 2024. 😂😂

never heard such nonsense and don’t remember seeing this before in other tournaments (?) . May well  have ignored it or not see it tho. That flags’ followed us to a few places so no UEFA clipboard yielding bureaucrat will get their hands on her..,

I followed the link and a fire safety certificate was requested!!! And a photo of the flag. Has anyone ever sought or received a fire safety cert for a flag?  Have I entered a parallel universe? What’s it all about.  German fan culture hey. Must be excellent form fillers.

Anyone else had this issue??? Or know why the need for all of this.

    Still taking it mind.

Only need to register if flag is over the 2mx1.5m size.

Mine is over that, and I don't have a fire certificate for it.
So I emailed the manufacturer and they said they stopped issuing certs now and instead have sewn a fire retardant label onto the corner of the flag.
I took a picture of that and sent it off to ESTC.

Agreed it is a pain, but if it helps with getting your flag into the stadium then I thought it's worth filling out the form

Yep thats how I got tickets, through ESTC. Had my eye on USA 2026 as we've got family there, but Euro 28 now is a bonus and should aim to get to every game for that

I'll check out those links thanks!

USA 2026 looks brilliant - but not sure how to keep the cost down for that... some big distances.
When I went there last year, it was sooo expensive. Pound in the toilet.

  3. Should be brilliant - really looking forward to it.

Got tickets for all England games right up to Final should they get there, through ESTC.
Well worth joining ESTC and building your caps up - especially with the next Euros in this country.

Flying to Dusseldorf for first group game then back home again.
Flying to Frankfurt for second group game, but also doing:
    Berlin: Austria v Poland
    Hamburg: Czech v Georgia
    Leipzig: Croatia v Italy
Then to Cologne for last group game and fly home.

Cancellable flights and hotels sorted for all KO games, also if we come 2nd in group (heaven forbid!).

    Tips:
    - Join ESTC and get caps for future tournaments.
    - If travelling on train out of the local areas, buy one of the €29.50 Euro 2024 train tickets. We've saved loads doing that.

    - Jon Darch (City fan) does an excellent website on the Euros, also worth a follow on twitter for good travel tips:

  4. Same for me - can't pay with any card.
Being trying multiple times with 2 different cards.

Why do have to pay anyway! What's with the £1.25 charge?
If there was no cost to pay, I could have just moved my seat.

    Phone line is engaged.

    What a great system..... again

To be honest, I'm fed up of the usual easily-offended outrage-seekers constantly trying to find things to whinge about and spoil things for everyone else.

It's a tiny cross in a relatively hidden area the kit in a slightly different colour FFS and it's not even the first time someone's played around a bit with a national flag. (Team GB in 2012, for example). It's a minor design choice. And frankly, if someone is so insecure in their sense of national identity that a slightly different flag sends them into a panic then that says far more about them than anything else. I suspect the vast majority of us are secure enough in our sense of Englishness to not need to treat a minor change in the colour of one small cross as an issue. I feel pretty confident that - on Saturday, Tuesday and any other England game - there will be more than enough St George Crosses to compensate.

As ever, it's a tiny number of people constantly trying to undermine our sense of national cohesion and pretending they own the concept of Englishness in the way the rest of us somehow do not. I'm frankly sick of the neediness, attention-seeking and attempts to divide England as a nation.

    Yes I totally agree.

We are about to play 2 excellent friendlies, have a really promising tournament on the horizon and yet there is an issue that has divided England's supporters.

Reminds me about the Euros 2020(21) when the divisive issue was taking the knee - rather than everyone uniting around the England team.

It's such a shame things become so divisive these days.

It's the lead on the Daily Mail!! Surely there are more important things happening in the world.

Division results in engagement results in profits.

I regularly buy from these types of listings for my nephews footy kits, and I’m almost certain they are official ones that are either off the back a lorry, or stolen….or both.

Saves you a good £100+ for anyone after one!

Not available anymore - have you got some new links please?
Or a link to the actual seller.
    Thanks

So, with two games left to play, the replays are:

    Forest v City

    Southampton v Watford

    Plymouth v Leeds

    Villa v Chelsea

    Coventry v Wednesday

Half a chance of ours being on TV? Villa v Chelsea & Plymouth v Leeds will be on I`m sure but provided there`s a winner in Newport v Man Utd & Blackburn v Wrexham I reckon there`s a chance.

With only us and Villa v Chelsea on the Wednesday (the other ties being played on the Tuesday), I assume we won't be on TV?

You’ve chosen a season ticket in the most expensive part of the ground, then complain when you are charged the highest price for a cup game - which still isn’t extortionate by any means.

Are you ever happy about anything?

Even though your season ticket might be in one part of the ground, for these FA Cup sales you can buy a ticket in any part of the ground.
I did that for West Ham

Have they knocked fees on the head now? I definitely seen a £1.25 fee when I first put them in my basket, but after doing some messing around and putting them back in the basket a 2nd time, no fees?

I've never managed to get the fees to disappear...
Today I had a £1.25 fee for a Print at Home ticket!

Yeah, I can't see that eurostar tickets are on sale yet? Maybe next week or two.

I think they are on sale and gradually going up in price I think.
I've seen people on the ESTC Facebook site put screenshots up of their Eurostar tickets.
I remember one was for a return to Cologne via Brussels at £220

    Those Going via Train

Buy a ticket to Ealing Broadway, significantly cheaper and allows you to get off at Paddington.

WTF!! that is a brilliant tip!! I never knew that.
I get the train quite a bit with England games and that will save me a fair bit..
    Thanks!

Correct. The two tier North Stand. How it will be split I dunno.

I understand it- the sad and untimely passing of their chairman, want as many fans in the ground to pay tribute..I would say that our restrictions at Ashton Gate are off by the charts by comparison.

    They:

*Usually cannot sell the Lower Tier v many opponents for alleged safety reasons. (Norwich seem to get it often or some of it).

*Have a separate walkway for away fans, which btw will be unavailable Saturday due to strikes iirc.

Interesting review which references Point 2 a bit.

"Have a separate walkway for away fans, which btw will be unavailable Saturday due to strikes iirc." what does this mean please?

Is the overland at South Bermondsey not available tomorrow?

  13. Looks like the first league match you can buy tickets for E34 is the 21st October against Cov!
    When there's 459 seats available...

I imagine nearer the time, the club will close that section off again for sale - just like they've done for the earlier games,

Seems pretty crap that. especially as it's the cheapest block to buy a ticket in the whole ground...

  14. I was at the England game in Malta on Friday and saw this brilliant City flag.
The two lads were trying to tie it up on top of the stand but were made to take it down in the end.
It had a cow in the bottom left corner and Thatchers bottom right
Any takers on here whose flag it was?

Also met some nice City young lads from Portishead and Clevedon.
And a City lad and his mates from Withywood who couldn't get in so watched it in a pub.

    * You make a valid point about the Albanians , though they are only one strand of the problem , albeit a significant one

Nearly % 50 of migrants crossing the English channel on boats and dinghies are Albanians -

Not people fleeing a war or conflict , but economic , and , many , criminal migrants -

I thought your statistic was completely wrong about the % of Albanians...

    But you're right.

This year has seen the % change from the first half of the year of 18% to the period May - September rising to 42%. Quite astounding...
