If the ECB had the audacity to give those points back to Middlesex wouldn't that open the floodgates to all other teams deducted points on the grounds that in hindsight they would all have played differently if they'd known what the outcome was going to be. Middlesex, irrespective of the crossbow incident had already "broken the rules". Wonder what their plan C will be?

Oh, the shame of England having to play at Another 2nd division ground! As I said earlier, this club considers itself too big to go down.

Thanks Tomarse. It's a bit like city, looking back to the glory days of the 70s when we had a a good core team blessed with a few stars. Supporting from afar I never know whether to look,on the SCCC website or not, how much grief do I need? Again a bit like watching City! I preferred the days back then when you at least knew that the cricket team was playing every week and depending on the day, which competition they were playing in. Oh bugger, I'm getting old!

What's happened to Somerset the last few seasons? They were a bit like this during the first half of last season and then nearly won the championship. Is it the standard of players, the captain or dare I say the management?
