Wow great pictures I would've only been about 6 months old, 2015 my son was born and he was about 6 months old when we went to Wembley when we beat Walsall.

Another JPT in the bag when your son has a son then 😄

And they all seem to be falling over themselves to appoint McKenna as the new saviour. Amazing!

Massive if he goes. Luton, Sheff U and Burnley have showed Ipswich the size of their task next season. Now they’re losing the man whose led them their with back to back promotions. Get the replacement wrong and next season could be an utter disaster for them (🤞🤞🤞).

  3. Kompany to Bayern seems a goer then. Burnley enter a raft of EFL clubs in the market for a manager. Lots of pieces still to be moved, surely us and Liam won’t ever get caught up in it?

Another interesting twist today is McKenna apparently turning down fresh terms with Ipswich amid interest from other clubs, possibly including Chelsea!

Birmingham have potentially found their man in Alex Neil, despite Brum fans seeming to think they could have their pick of any manager in the world… you’re League 1 fellas. Humble yourselves.

Ten Hag also possibly gone. I can’t remember the managerial market ever being in utter chaos but that’s how it feels right now!

Lost all credibility when you said you'd take rashford!

🤣 is a hot take at the mo. But 12 months ago he was in a lot of peoples first 11! I’d be starting Foden from the left (with lots of encouragement to drift centrally/switch with Bellingham) but I think Rashford is a better back up option than your Bowen’s or Eze’s.

  5. Seven to be cut then. I’d go Dean Henderson, Quansah, Guehi, Wharton, Bowen, Maddison, Eze.

That was actually a lot harder than I expected, but I think I could just about justify any of those shouts 🤣

I’d also have taken Dier and Rashford, and left Dunk and Grealish. Definitely a minority view but Dier is playing brilliantly in Germany and Rashford is very consistent for England.

Harvey Elliott is an interesting one. I’ve wondered over the last year or so whether his non-selection for the senior team is in any way connected to the offensive video of Elliott impersonating Harry Kane.

Didn’t know about this and was wondering about Elliot’s lack of involvement. On one hand, Harry has always seemed the most inoffensive, solid guy so mocking him like that was pretty crap form. Other hand, Harvey would have been about 17. Who didn’t screw up at 17. Sad to see Elliot miss out, but if it is about squad harmony I get it.

  7. Announced at 5pm on the dot so a small chance more news to come into the night. I would have guessed Williams were it not for the emergence of the PNE link.

Regardless, great news re Elijah. Seems to be very very well thought of, looking forward to seeing how far he goes 🔴⚪

  8. Not often a manager preparing to face us next season will find themselves managing the giants of Germany instead. He’s been linked to the role following Bayern’s disastrous hunt for a Tuchel successor and Romano is giving it the ‘👀’.

Brighton, West Ham, Plymouth, Cardiff, Norwich all currently without managers and Arne Slot moving from Feyenoord to Liverpool, could be an entertaining summer of the manager merry-go-round.

  9. Christ the Klopp speech and montage even got me a bit weepy. I’ve no particular fondness for Liverpool but there is something about the man. I think the English game will be lesser place for his absence.

My dream Southgate replacement post Euros 🤣

  10. Emphasis on the attacking areas is certainly no shock, profligacy in front of goal cost us a lot of points this season. And even with Conway still in the building, we’re a central striker short imo. Two if he leaves. So the front line may well be where we spend.

I’d like to see a couple in the defence, albeit low budget I imagine. Some support for Pring, allowing Roberts to stay central, and maybe one more centre-half with Atkinson and Naismith’s woes. OOC older players maybe, or low budget/risk options from the lower leagues.

Think midfield is set if Joe stays. Two from Knight, Bird, TGH, Williams, Murphy.

  11. I think we’ve lacked true depth for some time and Matty would have been perfect midfield cover with his know-how and calmness. Sad to see him leave.

I thought Marlee Francois was viewed as quite a prospect, guess it’s not quite happened, all the best to all the released youngsters. Down but not out.

  12. Sure Manning said pre-Stoke ‘next week’, ie this week. Which day is anyones guess.

I’m 90% sure it won’t tell us anything we don’t know already, King retiring, Williams and James ‘talks ongoing’.

Hopefully a shiny new 4-year deal for Tommy, but I’m not holding my breath! 😁

Been quite a tasty first half. You can feel the nerves in the stadium.

Thought it might get a bit tasty when Fullkrug fell awkwardly and PSG played on but Borrusia took it surprisingly well!
