Pretty simple’ you could do a £1 acca every week for a year and lose £52 ‘ if once a year you win and it pays more than £52 your winning.
Yes, but that means you have broken even, and therefore you have not lost more than you have won.

I enjoy a few quid at a weekend on ACCA or Trixie bets. Nice when a good win comes in. Yeah I loss more than I win . But it balances out.
I dont see how it can balance out, if you lose more than you win.

And he won't have to play his brother in law next season - close run dilemma!
Who is his brother-in-law?

TV deal has all non Saturday games live. Boxing Day, evenings etc
Of the 34 weekend games, 1st games and last day games are all live. That leaves 5 of 12 each weekend live for the season.
One thing they've then said is that all games will be rearranged way in advance. So we'll know in June all the kick offs up till New Year. Half our games will be on TV. Another 4 or 5 will probably be moved from 3pm Saturday to Friday, Saturday early, or Sunday early
Thanks for that information.

5 of each weekend's matches won't be 3pm.
Just hope that we are on Fridays. Sunday at lunchtime is awful
Can someone please explain what is happening regarding television next season. If this has already been discussed under another topic, then please can you let me know the topic title.
Thanks

I’m pretty sure that was my only visit there too.
I had traveled all the way from southern France via Stansted, probably not much longer than your journey and was excited for the new season, end of August I think.
My overriding memory was trying to defend Nicky Hunt on OTIB after the game, I was thinking he was getting more stick than he deserved. Not my finest contribution.
Excuse my lack of knowledge but is that the same game that David James gave them 2 goals.

I noticed a few times in the first half yesterday, Dickie turning down the chance of a quick ball through the thirds to Williams and Conway, in favour of turning sideways and playing it safe to Vyner. Surely an instruction. Dickie has also stopped taking the ball forward into midfield and beyond.
I think Dickie would have had a problem getting any sort of pass to Conway in the 1st half.

I quite like the sound of that, as without thinking about it too much, seems to calculate a proportional representation of how your defence compares to your attack.
Is there any downfall to this calculation compared to goal difference, or goals scored etc?
It means that a 1-0 win is better than any win where you concede a goal, so basically better than say 6-1
-
It was decided by goal average - number of goals scored divided by the number of goals conceded.

Showing my age here, but it has got to be "I'd walk a million miles for one of your goals, John Galley"

Same old City I’m afraid. Fed up with always being the heroes after losing big cup games and play-off finals, we are perennial losers. Doesn’t matter if it’s the 1st team, under 21s or the ladies. Even the Bears cracked a few years back having been 40 odd point to nil at half-time. Let’s stop patting ourselves on the back for having a soft underbelly and underdog mindset. Given Forest’s league position I wouldn’t have thought they’d have been too bothered going out last night?!
Please remind me which game the bears were 40 odd points to nil at half time. If you are referring to Bristol v Harlequins, then Bristol only scored 36 points in the whole game.

Parts of 3 girls (about child grooming in Rochdale) were actually filmed in Hartcliffe off Fulford Road.

they don't look very happy do they? Judging by the state of their kit they must have just played in a swamp. I wonder why they did not take the photo before the game.

But Div 1 was championship back in the days of Aaron Brown and Tommy D
I know that. I was referring to the 2nd level of the English leagues, and I think you knew that also.

I know there has been a lot of angst on the other side of the bridge about Cardiff’s failure to produce any Championship standard players for years (I know they let Wes Burns go before he joined us, another master stroke). Harris at Oxford & Sang at Port Vale are the only two here even with a FL club.
In contrast not only the obvious but Wollacott (full international, now at Hibs), Towler (on the bench all season at Pompey) & Harper at Exeter are all making a living from the game.
Interesting that you are critical of me for using the likes of Tommy Docherty and Aaron Brown etc. as examples of youth success stories, because they did not play at Championship level, yet you use Towler and Harper as examples of success.
-
I think possibly the best output we had from the youth / academy was in the late 1990s / early 2000s when Hill, Brown, Coles, Docherty and Burnell were regular members of the team.

Yep, been injured for most of the season.
Ok. Thanks for the update.

What has happened with Elijah Morrison? He seems to have fallen off the radar somewhat. Is he injured?

That win prevented Saints going unbeaten for the calendar year, something that they have still never managed
As pointed out previously that should read unbeaten at HOME for the calendar year.

I thought it was a clear red at the time, and still think so. Barry Bannan thought it was a clear chance also, other wise he would not have brought him down. It does not have to be a certain goal for it to be a red card. I am very surprised it was overturned. As they say on Refwatch DOGSO - denial of goal scoring opportunity, which it certainly was.

My favourite memory was when he tried to drive through a large number of us walking to Selhurst Park before the now infamous play off semi final
Fair to say he got a bit of stick but he took it all in great humour at the time
Why do you say 'infamous'. Did something happen pre or post match that I am not aware of?

Sorry but I really don't understand that statement. If you lose more than you win, then it does not balance out.
