  1. Graduated uni in 2005, MD 6 years later. That’s some rise…
  2. Has that not been the case for young people for a long time? Obviously some drugs were popularised in the 90s and stuck around but the current generation aren’t the first to be working for the weekend. I think social media has a massive impact on the lives of younger people and has led to a rise in mental health issues. Constantly seeing the highlights of peoples lives can make your own seem worse than it is. Whilst some certainly will have self-diagnosed themselves with something they don’t have, it’s very hard to get proper access to support (as others have highlighted) at the moment which means a lot simply don’t bother. None of that is massively relevant to the thread, there’s always idiots at away matches, it takes other fans to police them unfortunately.
  3. I thought he was coming back from re-rupturing it so assumed it was related to the ACL again. I’m not an expert so can’t really comment, if it is his knee again that’s probably the end of his career as the reoccurrence rate for knee injuries if the first happened before you’re 23 is ridiculously high. If it’s his hamstring he might just be very unlucky. Extended time off the pitch at his age will hamper his development either way.
  4. If he’s done his ACL again that’s his professional career over. It will just keep getting injured.
  5. He played very well in the cup against us too. For his age he’s a quality player.
  6. Too early to judge Manning, he’s had two training sessions with them. Will need to hit play off form quickly though or he’ll be gone. Promotion is the expectation after all!
  7. Very concerning that he’s had long-term injuries to both knees now. Has it been revealed what the injuries were?
  8. Bristol Sport have got to stop putting Tinnion in front of a microphone. He contradicts himself all the time.
  9. We’ll need to replace both of them (and get an extra body in midfield) first. We have the foundations of a good squad playing with 2 centre backs, would require a bigger rebuild moving to a 3 back.
  10. Because you need elite wingbacks for the level in order for it to be successful. We had them in league one, we don’t have them now. It’s hard to play pressing football with wingbacks. It’s not impossible but difficult.
  11. Bloody hope not. We’ve finally moved away from it and begun to press and play front foot football. The academy have been matching the first team’s style of football for some time too.
  12. If he’s done it again that might be that, same as Benarous. Not got the exact stats but the reoccurrence rate for knee injuries is extremely high when the first one was done before early 20s.
  13. The Blues squad loved him by all accounts and they had a good start to the season. That’s the start and end of my knowledge of him. Downgrade on Pearson.
  14. Long may this terrible PR for the club continue. About time people outside of Bristol saw the terrible decision making at the club.
  15. Eustace is the only name out there that inspires a little bit of hope - seems the blues players were up in arms when he left and they certainly had a good start.
  16. Obviously it was a great night, but it’s a win in a cup match. It’s a bonus. It doesn’t make up for the 20 years of mediocrity and baffling decision making.
  17. The sentiment is great but that’s how anger gets swept under the carpet. If we win the next two this latest bit of incompetence will be forgotten about. Got to draw the line somewhere and look past the next game and the next 3 points.
  18. He’ll keep us up until Lansdown goes. Obviously a downgrade on Pearson
  19. I’d love to see some action against Lansdown, even if it was just prolonged chanting at the game. Can’t see it happening though. Think a lot of fans are content with a new stadium and not going down.
  20. We’re just treading water until we get new owners, it’s been that way since Lee Johnson left. That was the last proper attempt at going up from Lansdown (even if it was an idiotic attempt). Rowett would do a job. Eustace would do a job. Not interested in any riskier appointments as they won’t be sensibly backed.
  21. Isn’t letting the ground/club fall apart the bare minimum of owning a football club? I appreciate not every owner does that but it’s not a huge achievement to me. Not getting promoted isn’t really an achievement either?
  22. What’s Tinnion done this time? Help develop some good young players?
  23. Benarous has done his ACL twice already hasn’t he? Don’t get your hopes up.
