So, what are we bothering for then?

Marley Watkins came closer than most to achieving this, when smashing Tommy Kalas's chin with his nut at Wigan, I think it was

Needed someone swift to "cover" Forbes, or Mark Hughes, or whoever was the solid but slow and cumbersome No.5 that everyone other than Liverpool seemed to have back then. He was Kyle Walker before Kyle Walker was born

Try calling it a "Sing when we're winning (but not always even then) section,"

What was yer third?

I believe that the ladies were trying to establish their game a century ago but ran into some ... difficulties with the, er, blokes at the FA (otherwise they might be a bit more, stand alone, by now)

Sammy Szmodics due on talksport now

Whoever scouted him needs a pay rise (or an offer to come back); whoever coached him and/or decided to get rid, needs ..... -
Yes, well done to the club. Well done. This club can get things done well.

@pikeysrobins "At the final whistle the Emirates Stadium was already half empty ....." so begins the guardian's reflection on Arsenal losing yesterday.

I Say, We Are Top of the League

That's human nature. Us being top over 5 games now is like Rory McIlroy playing another round on Monday and going: look at me! I'm winning now! -
Liam Manning - Press Conference Bingo
Bristol Oil Services replied to OliOTIB's topic in Football Chat
Course he will, if someone a bit bigger offering a bit more comes in. I just hope we're all shattered and weeping and wailing and hanging out "Don’t leave us, Liam" bedsheets, and signing up to the Bayer Leverkusen forum to tell them what a rotter he is, and wondering who our hapless owner will bring in to keep us in the Premier League, when he buggers off. -
Wasn’t worth it, good luck for the future…

It's often the ones that daren't ever start their own threads, but will pluck up the courage to have a little snipe at those that do. Funny old world .... -
It happens almost everywhere, everytime, in that situation now. It's not the 1970s anymore. That sort of loyal support is pretty much extinct, don't fret about it, we're not the ficklest, we're pretty much just like everyone else around the country

Outstanding performance but a schoolboy error at the end there, giving a penalty to the midtable side with nothing at stake and going nowhere but the beach, at the expense of the team hovering around the bottom three or four, with rather a lot to lose. In April. Tut, tut. Whereas Lee Mason, in the (46th) game v Birmingham City in 2017, chose not to award us, the home side, a (pretty clear) penalty, us being on the beach with nothing at stake and Birmingham almost certain to go down and never to forgive or forget should he penalise them. And probably be hanging around in the car park afterwards.

Played today in their win at Blackburn I believe

It’s a bit of both, at a guess

The lack of soft furnishings in modern football concourses is a disgrace, some plump cushions would've helped no end yesterday. Dale Vince won't have this problem with his new ground made from wood, straw and lime render (plus hemp drapery)

Sunderland away match thread
Bristol Oil Services replied to Jerseybean's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
Yeah we do, it's stuck somewhere between about 14th in the Championship/second tier, and just a little bit higher than where the Blue Few currently fester in L1. Letting in a little too many, not scoring quite enough. In front of about 12,000 people. So we're doing alright, as things stand. Manning in (until ....) -
