We must be your second team after beating Southampton despite their epic unbeaten run, and now Leicester 😁can’t see anyone catching you now, you’re certainly shoo-ins for top two.

    You certainly are Luke.

I've been a member on OTIB since we were last in the championship, popped in a few times previously, thought the robins were unlucky not to win at Hull earlier this season.

You have a decent set of fans on here.

Always enjoyed my visits to Ashton Gate.

Fingers crossed we are promoted automatically, I wouldn't fancy us in the play-offs, even though I believe we are the best team in the championship. Unfortunately, our fans shall have to get use to losing once again, as we'll be one of the bottom half teams in the Premier League.

Even more astonishing that it’s not even his natural position then. Wow. Can’t wait to see him at AG. Fair play to you and Farke for trusting him so much too, as he can clearly flourish 👍🏻

I've just read Archie's brother Harry who is 14yo scored for our under 18s at the weekend. Harry a striker, is tipped to be the best of the Gray family, he has scored a considerable amount of goals at youth level. One to watch!

Ah we know how that feels...I did read that us and Port Vale were right up there.

League only a couple of intriguing stats:

    1) November 1st 2020 to present 3 League penalties.

    2) Think the gap before 2 in 2 games was November 7th 2021 to February 18th 2023. By whixh so mean penalty November 6th 2021, then zilch until February 18th.

    3) At home..one from November 1st 2020 to present. The gap there was October 31st 2020 to February 25th 2023.

    4) A longer game was the start of 2020-21 to present.. 5. Or 5 in 149 League games.

    5) Indeed Covid skewed it but in part due to Covid the gap between home penalties in front of fans was December 29th 2019 to February 25th 2023. (There wwre two in October 2020 behind closed doors)

The numbers are insane! I could go on.. I won't but I may draw some graphs and charts in the next few days- our numbers feel like they're breaking a few records!!

Just checked, 67, not quite Leeds level (Leeds had more ;) ) but we are up there.

    So frustrating, Mr P ☹️

Most of the top teams manage to keep many of the team that played Prem football, the previous season.
I would say Leicester had more quality, they also have players who have recently been scoring in the Prem. Even though they had to sell their best players .
Leeds only sold one of their best players, and spent £35M . I thought they were good, but the finishing was poor , that might keep them from the Autos .
They will both have players getting 7/8s regularly, that consistency , and more depth of squad, will keep them challenging.

Leeds sold Adams for £23m & Rodrigo for £3m.

Sinisterra, Harrison, Kristensen, Koch Wober, Roca, Llorente & Aaronson have all left Leeds on some ridiculous loan deal clause, they couldn't wait to get out of our club like rats leaving a sinking ship.so effectively they are still our players.

Sinisterra threatened to sue us as we desperately attempted to hold to him.

Our fans don't want them back!

So apart from Meslier, Struijk, Summerville & the injured Gnonto, we've had to rebuild our squad with shrewd signings.

Ampadu, Rodon (loan), Piroe, Kamara, Byram, Gruve, Darlow & Spence (only played 10 mins, Injured) plus Anthony on loan (in exchange for Sinisterra) On top of all that we have our 17yo young star Archie Gray who was playing in the U21's last season, plus Georginio Rutter whom we paid £37m, who seemed a ridiculous dud signing at the price, to be fair to him, he rarely featured but looked more like a League One player than a PL footballer.

This season, his career is rejuvenated & has become the darling of ER, a big strong lad who glides past defenders with ease & has a sublime passing range. I reckon he has created over twenty chances, sadly many of them not converted.

Ampadu, Rodon & Rutter are my favourites, they are consistently good.

Thanks for the honest feedback 1964.

I wasn't sure about stonewall hut looked plausible. One day we will get a few..our record has to be seen to be believed

Slightly off topic but what's the general take on Leeds fans of the whole suing Everton thing of found guilty? Not solely Leeds of course, Burnley and Leicester also all involved there.

Leeds' fans are hoping Everton are severely punished for their financial misdemeanours. I suspect the three clubs feel Everton remained in the Premier League by unfair means.

Don’t know if you’re aware of the situation with us and penalties, but we’ve (literally) had about 4 in the last 3 years. Beyond a joke now, we wrote to the PGMOL expressing our concerns about a year ago, but at this point we’re increasing the record week-by-week. I guess we’ll writing to the PGMOL again😃

Was unaware of that fact, Luke.

We don't get many, I think Leeds once went 65 games without being awarded a penalty.

Just watched the EFL highlights. How on God`s green earth did the Leeds striker miss that open goal? Rosenthal-esque! I can only think he took his eye off the ball and it hit his ankle but he still should have scored.

What was the XG of the chance out of interest does anyone know?

Awful miss, but Georginio is a joy to watch, raises the pulses when he is on the ball.

I believe he has created twenty scoring opportunities this season, sadly not all the chances taken.

That's some heritage! I was a Leeds fan as a nipper,  year younger than you by the looks of it😁, and they were the team of the day.

Eddie Gray.. proper winger..can see him now jinking away

Talking Leeds stuff, I saw a clip of the infamous Giles vs Keegan match up😯.. Giles literally decks him and gets a finger wagging and Keegan gets sent off!

My first Leeds game was against Grimsby Town in the 1963/64 season, the year we were promoted, Billy Bremner scored & became an instant boyhood hero. Bremner & Giles are my two all-time favourite players.

Of course, there was dear old Norman Hunter & Terry Cooper from that era. I posted on OTIB's tribute threads after they passed away.

Well, I have to say, as well as one of the better teams to arrive at ER and try win the game, you also have one of the better fans forums. This thread has so many well written comments that are balanced and keep things in perspective. It’s also without diatribe and bad language or insults against the opposition.

A credit to BCFC and all Bristolians. Good luck for a successful season whatever that looks like. MOT.

    Totally agree.

I was a member on here when we were previously in the championship, a decent set of fans imo!

I'm a moderator on a good Leeds United site, here is a link if anyone is interested.

Re: Leeds Utd v Bristol City Match Thread.

We are struggling with injuries again. Our 2 starting CBs from last year were missing today, along with our RB and the guy we sign to challenge him. Our top scorer from last year is only just starting to get minutes and we started with a small squad. Feels like a very stop start beginning to the season.
Some good signs, but we need to get going properly soon. Just hope Wells isn't added to the list.

Felt we did ok today, but too many just off of their game to cause you real problems.

Injuries are a curse, especially with a small squad.
