Man United have been doing this for several years but they have a scheme if you cannot go you can give back to club for re-sale or donate to the foundation, both count as attended.

Jury has long been out on JL/SL and feel Tinman has far too much power but now after this massive gamble from here on I am ‘Manning In’ and time to be One Bristol City and back OUR TEAM. COYR

McClaren has been in and out of Man U for donkeys years but has done **** all as a manager
That's not the point, the question was who has heard of McKenna I was just comparing CV's prior to being appointed and pointing out his experience in the premier league against Manning who has never coached above league 1.

We could have said the same thing about Gary Johnson. And what about Ipswich fans when Kieran McKenna was appointed. Kieran who?
The Kieran McKenna who was at Manchester United for about 5 years including 3 as assistant manager when they finished second in the Premier League before moving to Ipswich so its a slightly more impressive CV than 2 years split between MKD and Oxford. The Lansdown's have taken a huge gamble and it feels very much a yes man appointment but as Nige says lets get behind OUR TEAM.

Thank you Nige, you are a better man(ager) than the Lansdown's ever deserved. You pretty much saved singlehandedly saved the club from FFP points deduction and built a fantastic squad, who play for the shirt and with a bit of luck with injuries would have challenged the playoffs. All of this with no support from the SL or JL who just don't have a clue.
Good luck in the future your always welcome in Brizzle #legend

I get your point but also think that’s easy to say when we’re sat 8th in the league. We’d only have to be a few points worse off and we’d be just above the relegation zone and the outlook looking quite a bit different. This is my point about 4 defeats in a row potentially changing perspectives.
I agree with the lack of support from SL but I standby the fact that progress on the pitch has been slow to steady at best.
Next few months results are massive for me in making my mind up.
30 games in the championship last season there was 10 points between bottom 3 and playoffs, it’s a ridiculously difficult close league. All we ask for is progression which NP has delivered every season despite being hamstrung at the same time producing a team that actually fights and gets the fans behind them. LJ lost 11 in a row with a team that could not give a shite and the trigger was not pulled. Read into that what you want

So much hysteria on this thread. I totally get the frustration of the Lansdown’s lack of transparency in recent times but so many are talking as if NP is the messiah. I agree he’s done a good job in difficult circumstances and that we’re now in a healthy position football wise (with a optimistic future) but the jury is still out on the pitch, to a certain extent. If we were to lose the next 4 games, how many on here would have changed their minds. A lot, I expect!
Seriously you think the jury is out on the pitch? He has had the best players sold out under him for FFP reasons and had to clear out LJ ridiculous high earners for the same reason. Built a squad that clearly plays for him and the shirt and an identity is forming and the fans are getting behind it. Pretty sure most are not saying he is the messiah but just done a really good job with no support from above and he is being treated with contempt from the Lansdown’s.

I was reflecting on this the other day.
Reluctantly, we have to admit that things are going rather well for Ipswich with Mark Ashton & a progressive young coach.
Does this show that Lansdown was right all along? I actually think it illustrates the opposite - that Lansdown is the problem.
It seems that Ashton + a young manager can do well in the Championship.....just not when they're being dictated to by you, Steve.
As much criticism as Mark Ashton (rightly) received from our fanbase, it wasn't the case the Lansdown had no say in the appointments of Johnson & Holden. It wasn't the case that Lansdown had no involvement in the excessive spending. It wasn't the case that Lansdown had no say in the strange restructuring that occurred during the Ashton era.Ashton now finds himself at a new club, and may well be on the verge of achieving back to back promotions.
How much more evidence do you need? The problem is you, Mr Lansdown.
It shows that LJ had no clue what to do with the money as McKenna is actually a good young coach not a chancer given the job because of his dad.

Season ticket holder all my adult life and been going home and away for over 35 years. If Nige is not offered a new contract and ends up leaving its will time for fans to protest against Lansdown(s) and not turn up until they leave. We are Bristol City not Bristol Sport so if you’re reading Steve and son this is one season ticket holder that will be done. ️

£10 off not 10%
Can’t be arsed to argue about this.. you got £10 for season ticket and 10% back for all shop purchases. I normally bought home and away then discount on third. Now I won’t buy any. If you think all is good then fine but I guarantee we are one of the only clubs that do not offer discount to season ticket holders.

They never have given 10% off in the shop to ST holders.
Yes they did both in store and online it changed to 10% cash-back a few years ago and went completely when ‘Rewards’ came out.

Totally untrue, assume you realise how much planning goes into producing a kit
Nice conspiracy theory though

Wow never thought of that maybe I wasn’t refreshing the page until 2.15 when they appeared and then I updated my post. My issue is if I had not been sat there able to do that for 15 mins I just assumed they were gone I would now not have the ticket.

Season Ticket Renewal!
in Football Chat
Posted
Season ticket holder for over 25 years and going home and away since I was 14 (35 years) and this is the year I am probably not going to renew.
The one and only reason for this is I feel like Lansdown and his boy along with the snake have no interest in people like me only their own interests.
When they go I will return but I will still follow ‘my City’ with all my heart until that day.
