  1. When you love your job you’ll never work another day, so the saying goes. For managers it’s never about the money it’s the buzz the excitement and unfortunately the stress that comes with it. Get well Roy

Do you really think that Pearson who knew he had to cut and work with a significantly reduced budget and somebody who spoke almost as soon as he arrived that he believed in wages being similar amongst first tram players and persuaded AW , NB , NW to sign extended contracts on reduced terms , was party to bringing James here on 27.5k a week

I actually highly doubt he is on massive wages. Competitive wages sure, but not at the level.. post Covid, NP connection, as we were entering the austerity era.

£27, 500 a week apparently, our highest earner

I rather suspect that next year we shall wonder why we have Wells and Cornick in a side, supposedly, aiming for playoffs.

I have to say I totally agree with you. Cornick is a chocolate teapot, a forward that won’t score. What was the point in buying him? People say he’s a squad player! We don’t need squad players if we are serious.  Every player we buy should be better than what we have. Is Cornick better than Sykes, Bell, Conway, Wells  or Weiman?  I don’t think so.  I also question Pearson’s ability to buy good players. Most of young players,  he has developed , and really well in most cases, he has inherited  from previous managers. If he suddenly has a once in a decade war chest can he be trusted not to pee it away on the likes of Cornick?

  5. Personally I think we have a good squad and some exciting players. They just need organising and not played out of position.  Each game we appear to adopt a different and new formation

Without change we are going down. I would appoint Dyche now He is an organiser and knows the club and the division well

I would like to say how sad I am to hear the news today about Bobby passing away

I knew Bobby through buying art from him at Bermondsey market and the excitement I experienced, as a lifetime BRISTOL City fan, when I realised he was one of my football heroes. I shall never forget that day and never forget the happiness we enjoyed talking about his adventures at City.  I met Bobby on a number of occasions after when he would tell me about his health and concerns.   I posted on the City fans forum at the time I had met him and I think he was genuinely flattered that so many fans remembered him so fondly

I can’t say I was a close friend, but I will greatly miss seeing and chatting with him

    My condolences to his family
