  1. Don't disagree other sales will give a guide, but we don't know how much the club is really for sale at or what terms.
  2. Sorry does not mean that, it's possible he has not had interest from buyers he is prepared to sell to as will not put the club at risk. I find it laughable that so many on here think they know how much the club is up for sell for or how much SL should sell for. SL is a self made billionaire, so by default a shrewd businessman who will have plenty of professional advisers and will know what price is realistic or how much a hit he needs to take if wants to unload
  3. You would think after Mondays 5 - 1 hammering at home from Blackburn, the players will be up for it to regain some self respect, but if we get at them and maybe get a goal, you can see the fans turning and players self belief going
  4. A couple of wins made no difference to me I will be renewing like I have every year for the last 40 years
  5. I hope all those prior to the match shouting about they can't be bothered watching it or doing something else instead enjoyed what they did instead. Because they missed an excellent game and very good performance, to those who said yes but we were lucky, yes luck plays a part, but you chose to ignore the chances we also missed and a terrible ref who denied us possible 3 penalties. Not pretending everything is rosy, but encouraging after the recent drose.
  6. Or in the real world Nige got a very good pay off and part of that agreement would be he is not able to.
  7. Well as one of the biggest holiday get away weekends even if NP was here there would be lots of empty seats
  8. How about, if prem clubs relegated feel they need a parachute payment to continue funding the club due to players contracts, they start the season with a points deduction, the bigger the PP the bigger the deduction on a sliding scale. This would encourage clubs to be prudent, but if they want to keep the prem players on high wages they will not just walk the league like they do now. Would need a bit of analysis to get the scale of deduction correct, but it could level up the championship, rather than at least 2 PP clubs going up every year
  9. Have to disagree, £1.5m for a player not to have played 1st team football is significant, Latvia is just crazy, Mebude obviously no where near that level and had he have been he would not be effectively on trial for us.
  10. Man city? They sold him for a significant fee
  11. I suspect it was due to LM knowing him previously. But I don't see the problem, He was a very highly rated lad at Man City, who got a move to Belgium which did not work out (many young players have problems settling away from home in a foreign country.) We have him on loan with an option to buy, so cost us a bit in wages which allows us to see if he is a gem or not up to it, and if we decide he is not he goes back. Not even close to being our worse signing
  12. Some interesting stats, after a few games under LM I thought we started to change style and seen some good signs without maybe the results. Over the recent group of games we have regressed and at times gone away from trying to keep the ball and gone back more to how we played under nige of hitting hopeful balls in behind teams into the channels and trying to catch them, but in reality give the ball away quickly. The difference under Nige we pressed very well and won the ball back alot high up the pitch. I never wanted NP sacked nor did i want LM, but equally do not pretend the football was always that great either under NP. It's understanding why LM has gone away from Manningball he was trying to introduce to something that sits between the 2 styles and so ineffective. Comments have been made about stubborn to not change, but I think he has and for the worse. Maybe trying to be to clever and altering our game plan each time we play depending the opponents? lack of consistency of starting line up? Maybe down to player confidence, we seemed to be moving the ball slow and with a lack of movement, players lacking bravery to take a player on when it's easier to play backwards. Have we been missing James much more than we realise? LM needs to start showing very quickly he can get results and has ideas on how the team will be set up and play next season otherwise the rest of the fans will follow those who want him out and maybe the people who make the decisions will also loose faith
  13. I thought so, offside player in front of max blocking his view and moves so he does not touch the ball. No surprised with how bad officials have been its not given.
  14. Here we go another ref making it up and guessing, even westvbrom commentators saying how soft that free kick was
  15. I posted on the match day thread, that some players were hiding on the pitch, if they are worried, I suspect it is more about getting it wrong and the moans and groans that come from the stands, its easy as supporters to blame everyone else without looking at our own impact
  16. I don't see a massive difference between LM and the nonsense most managers speak particularly when the results have not been good, the only difference is he has replaced a popular manager who was excellent at interviews, and many particularly on here have the knives our ready to over analyse and critique any thing he says in minute detail
  17. To qualify they asked if he knew where Wales was and Jay replied Somerset, which they said was close enough
