If we play anything like we did against QPR then we're not going to come away with anything. That being said, as others have mentioned, Wednesday will need to go for it today, which will hopefully play into our style of play. 1-2 city

You're right we need the points so we won't sit back.

Conway looks some player for you, hopefully Bernard keeps him quiet, if Poveda or Musaba are on form we have half a chance.

Mental to realise its nigh on 20 years since you had 4.5k up here in League One.

Agreed. Can't work out though at this juncture if they're hamstrung a bit like us or actually could breach without a sale- could be either.

This one is interesting. Seems hard to say how on the face of it, 2 x PL cash and profit, 1st 2 years of Parachute Payments (always the biggest). They did take out a Bank Loan/Bank Loans in 2020-21, wonder if that is impacting upon instalments as they fall due. Secured against Parachute Payments maybe?

Not exactly big spenders however, wage bill surely will have dropped from £56-57m which it was in 2020-21 which frees up further cash. Ramsdale sold, more transfer receivables to go against payables. Definitely no FFP issues but potentially cash flow I didn't expect this from them.

They loaned money they were due from PL tv allocations and parachute payments to the Macquirie Bank.

Their owner hasn't paid a penny personally to buy the club and its hocked to the hilt, he is trying to sell or needs a return to the PL.

    Companies House makes interesting reading

  3. I know Mr P has had his issues over Wednesday and rightly so, some points we will never agree on but given we had an embargo over late wages last year I find how Derby have recruited to be truly wrong.

They look capable of challenging rather than struggle.

Good post and welcome. That's a good point, the administration aspect and FFP combined is quite a unique situation and one that deserves a tailor made solution.

My personal preference is something like...

Sure there was something else as well but this would give Derby something to work with but also uphold things and reflect the seriousness of their failings while upholding the interests of the League as a whole.

We paid 300k loan and wages for BPF,  waste of coin

  5. Be interested in seeing what transfer restrictions they have to adhere to.

We couldn't pay transfer fees or wages above a level cos of the prior rule breaks but surely Derby will be under even more stringent parameters given the administration aspects
