  1. Lucky there was no one sat in the stairs in dolman E29 as I trotted down the stairs for a wee whilst keeping an eye on the game I managed to miss the last couple of stairs and went arse over tit 🤦🏻‍♂️ - being a big boy that would have hurt any unexpecting stair watchers 😳

  2. Hi all,

I’m trying to purchase my West Ham tickets online. The guy that sits next to me isn’t very well so as I’m linked in with him on the ticket website I said I’d buy his ticket for him when I got mine and then if he’s better for the game then great but if not I’ll let my daughter have it.

only problem is I can only select mine and my sons seat -does anyone know if it’s even possible for me to purchase the other one?

    cheers

@Kingswood Village so what do you think?

Robins or not or still sifting through the replies. Some are relevant to your question.

We went tobacco factory prior to the game and robins after. No grief anywhere for the Burnley boys amongst our group and they were very complimentary about our fans/ground/hospitality. A good day ??

    thanks all for the replies

  4. Hi all,

I have some Burnley supporting friends joint me for a pre match drink on Saturday. I haven’t been in the robins for a year or two but is it tolerant of away fans in there these days?

don’t want to bring them there if it’s going to cause issues as the kids will be wearing colours etc

    cheers

Well, that was awful.  You choose some seats and then get told it's no longer available (I was buying 4 so knowing which seat or seats were no longer available would have been useful).  Then the site crashed - my account has been debited but no idea if I have them or not

Actually - just checking under my ticket details on bristol sport website. If you go to tickets and look down it tells me I have these additional 2 so think it registered ??

Yep - no idea if I got the tickets or not but again account appears to have been debited

Then you are very much in a minority. The majority of Gasheads are totally deluded when it comes to supporting the blue quarter(s) of Bristol.

Faithful and True. Massive fan base. Big fish in a small pond. Take 40k (26k in actual figures) to Wembley.

Massive away following - the envy of many clubs (all of which LOVE ROVERS and HATE THE SHIT by the way!)

Most believe their 'perceived' massive fan base means that they are a big club who deserve to be in the Championship and at least one place higher than DA SHIT!

Oh....and your comment about remembering the 1970's....Well, you are definitely a true Gashead then. You couldn't be a proper Gashead if you didn't reminisce about the Tote End, Smash 'n' Grab, Paul Randall and the famous bore fest penalty shoot out lottery win over Sheffield United in the Watney Cup. Being stuck somewhere between 1972-1978 in terms of memory defines your average Gashead.....with splashing of 2nd May and a bit of 1982. ?

    This.
I find that the fiercest hand relief of the average gas head  is reserved for their tremendous and unrivalled away support. They genuinely do believe that it’s that good! The other day there was a gas head having a pop by saying we only average 400 more than them away from home the season before last ???.

    Dopey to Norwich ?

    Apparently not according to this deluded one;

"As a club we have long term premiership potential that could rivial, if not better Norwich's support one day. We are one of the fastest growing clubs outside the premiership right now - training ground being built, stadium hopefully on its way, great new owners...etc..."

Not really we have been discussing boycotting that one for ages now, any game against 'B' sides needs avoiding...who knows where changes like that will lead.

Soooooo you are taking the piss out of city because a lot of fans avoided Scunny where our B side played (and beat) them....... Ok......

Debate is healthy.  Tell you what, meet you in the bar at the Mem before any of our upcoming league games? 100% genuine offer, not picking a fight, quite the contrary, shake each other's hand and I'll buy you a Thatchers and we can debate how best to both air our concerns and constructively support our team.

As I say, 100% no bullshit, genuine offer.  Next 3 home games Rochdale, Port Vale, Fleetwood.  Drinks on me.  Deal?

We'd invite you down the gate but there's no tickets left....

  11. ha ha ha! Come on - really? Do you really want to go there about attendances?

ha ha - bless these funny gas heads they do make I laugh. 4K crawl out from under a rock to visit Stamford bridge and it all starts over again - a good mate of mine is of a gas persuasion and even he admits that a large percentage of the rovers fans are totally deluded. Keep the thread alive - it's good to laugh.

What I don't get is that not one of them on there - not a single one has even questioned the fact that actually this could be just made up bullshit to try and make the club that are our bitter rivals look bad.

The post could have said absolutely anything and they just all chirp away "dirty 82ers" "horrible club" "delusions of grandeur". I just think they would spread a rumour about absolutely anything that tried to tarnish our club however ridiculous.

fear, jealousy, lies and gas logic - a dangerous mix.

  13. Can't see R*vers ever needing 26k let alone 35k.

UWE have given them the land on the condition that it will always be called "UWE Stadium" and R*vers can't sell the naming rights. They're not renting.

Bristol City on the other hand are technically tenants of Ashton Gate Ltd as I understand it.

    Nope,

Bristol city holdings own ashton gate Ltd, as confirmed to me by a club director at the stadium consultation. So still owned by the football club.
