Adam Webster going to the World Cup?
candygram for mongo replied to Touch_my_butter's topic in Football Chat
I think Dan Burn has a better chance than Webster personally. -
I usually get to my seat about 30 seconds before kick off but today I was in there a lot earlier. I was really pleased to hear “Back Home In Bristol” blaring out approx 10 minutes before kick off, was this the first time this song has been played or have I missed it due to my tardiness? Also, could the words be put up on the screen so this song could be a new and welcome anthem, (the “I can’t read & write song is a total embarrassment)

I went to Turin to watch Juventus a few years ago, every taxi driver we spoke to supported Torino and had a real hatred of Juve.

The only England away game I have attended, it was a great weekend except the amount of time we were kept in the ground after, 3 hours if I remember correctly. It was the first time I had heard the “great escape” tune and always remember blokes whistling the tune as we were walking through the airport on the Sunday, I believe it would be referred to as an “ear worm” these days.

6th Sept. 1992 : Derby County 3 Bristol City 4

I’d just moved into a house by myself, didn’t have any furniture, watched the game sat in a deck chair, happy days. -
Before he transferred to the Dolman he sat by us in the Williams stand and I can tell you he yelled the same thing back then on a very regular basis. Also remember being refereed by him on several Sunday mornings back in the day. Just like there are no “maverick” footballers now we have now lost our maverick supporter, what a guy he was.

28/4/69, Rovers 0 City 5, Glos Cup at Eastville, what an introduction. 53 years of mainly disappointment and mediocrity but can’t wait for next season to start.

Enjoyed that, that young lad is very good.

I could be way off the mark here but I have a feeling that Pearson is not a fan of Kalas and think he could be sold if there are any takers

Used to take the money and help run the fitness club in the old grandstand on weekday nights in the 80/90’s. He was indeed a very nice bloke.

I would be really happy if Leeds came down but then we’d have to put up with their mega annoying fans again

Estrella Galicia, think they might have Damm in bottles.

Just found this thread as I don’t tend to visit the non football chat forum. We eat out fairly regularly, if I had to pick my favourite it would be Bravas in Cotham Hill. Great tapas & atmosphere, killer tunes and Estrella on tap, owner is a red too. Place is small so is fully booked regularly.

I watched that show for the first time yesterday, I have never felt so bereft of knowledge in my life. is it a show for Mensa members only?

I might be wrong here but I think it’s a business venture by one of their players, Rodman perhaps?

Did you play on the top of St George’s Park using the trees as goal posts like we did (late 60’s, early 70’s)
