  1. If you had spent season after season watching that scrawny little fxxxxxr playing against us,whinging, cheating, disputing every decision, trying to referee every game in the late 80's early 90's,you may have a clue about how a lot of us feel about him. But you obviously didn't ,so don't underestimate just how much some of us hate him. This is a person who won't wear the colour RED because it's our colour. Some of our support need to wake up. Edit, here's a couple lines from a piece I just found about the bloke, when he was manager of Blackpool. Holloway next faces the team he rejected as a boy in favour of rivals Bristol Rovers (he still dislikes red, Bristol City's colours).
  2. I would be ashamed to turn up if I was her!
  3. Not surprised at all, just bemused. 1 point from 2 home games seems to have pushed the board over the edge. Just don't understand why we never follow a long term plan through though. My BIG worry is Hollowhead, they couldn't could they?
  4. As far as I can see Kaiser watches Reading sometimes because his boys support them. I really don't see the problem One of my boys supports the New Zealand Warriors rugby league side, the last time I was in NZ i went along with him. Perhaps I'm not a real City fan anymore!!
  5. That's fine, but there is a tendency to forget there is another team on the pitch The opposition coaches and managers are clever enough to change tactics for there own side to counter ours.
  6. Yeah, your soooo right, he should have employed different tactics so we could have lost 3-0.
  7. He did ok in the Championship under our current manager!
  8. I'm behind SOD but it's not a time for gloating, it's only our 2nd win in the League. Let's keep it friendly eh.
  9. What minute will they equalise!! Shut the f up Bill
  10. Listening to Radio Briz it sounds totally uninspiring. Happy Birthday Esmond
  11. I saw them on tv at Sheffield United this season, they played some really good football. Hopefully not tonight though!
  12. The problem is that the throwing of coins etc is just cowardly. I've been toe to toe at Football in the past ( I'm not proud of it now) but in that situation it's fair. But I've also been hit by coins, coin throwing is random, the coin can hit an 8 year old child in the face or a stone island clad macho man. Anyone who randomly throws coins etc are cowards and deserve to get arrested imo.
  13. [quote name="NickJ" post="1906063" timestamp=" I'm not complaining about the police, just questioning why the need for a dawn raid. Maybe there were logistical issues, but it seems OTT to me.
  14. I heard on the radio this morning that 50 seats were smashed up. I wasn't aware of City doing this, but we know the Gas did because we have seen the footage. We also know that some of the seats were thrown at City, so I would guess most of the seat chuckers are on CCTV. Hard to get off that one I would of thought!
  15. They do it all the time now, it used to be that the OB came into the crowd to arrest, it would then kick off big time and the trouble would escalate. In the 80's and 90's it happened every week. Now, with CCTV they can do what they have done today. Ive had more than my fair share of battening in the past when they would randomly hit anyone in the crowd when trying to arrest people.
  16. On your last point, it was pretty clear to me that with yellow jumper spending all that time on the pitch, the Police tactic for the night was to video and arrest later. That's why, anyone with any savvy kept out of trouble.
  17. We all knew this was going to happen though. Dawn raids have been happening all over the country for years. Any football related trouble is treated differently to other offences, it's been the same for 20 years. We had the same after the 96? Pitch invasion ( chasing the gas players off the pitch) and a lot learnt from that and realised a jail sentence would be next if caught playing up. It's the way things are done now, like it or not. In the 80's and 90's we got away with things, it doesn't work like that now, it's a mugs game in 2013.
  18. 21 arrested now, more than 50 seats ripped out the reporter on 5 live just said. CCTV will catch a lot more than any of us saw. Personally I've seen a lot worse at Bristol derby's,but it's 2013 and playing up in any form is an arrest able offence nowadays at football.
