Do what? What would have impressed you in any manager having to take over a Pearson (basket) case 6 months ago? The summer will go well because the club (ie owners & senior, respected managers will back Liam) so you have no reason to have a bad feeling. And what the hell do you mean by regression? Since when, since Cotts or since Johnson? There has been zero regression since Pearson lef; the players are happier, the cup run, we beat or draw with top teams, we smash poor teams etc etc - sometimes the negativity of you (and others) posts is simply baffling. What regression can you possibly mean?

i honestly thought this was a wind up on first read! Then i thought you have to be a pretty clever so and so to roll off all that sarcasm in one paragraph!?!

    My maths:

So of the possible 15 or 16 home Saturday 3pm k/os, plus opening day or final day, I reckon 7 or 8 could move (light blue box on right).  To when, I don’t know.

Now, if those 7 or 8 contain Swansea, Cardiff and Bears movements, it might not feel too bad.

The annoying thing is the lack of “explainer” by club / EFL.  Fans are buying season tickets with a big unknown.

For me it makes little difference, I quite like Friday night, or Saturday lunchtime, but for others (work, kids matches, etc) it could be a real deal breaker.

Wonder if anyone has ever mounted a legal challenge against their club for various financial losses incurred in the prem on the basis of changing numerous fixtures without sufficient notice or not being mentioned in the t&c's? If they have, obviously no one has won!

  4. Left on 85 today and 80 on Wednesday. I'm feeling a lot of apathy towards the club at the moment for some reason! I've almost completely lost interest but will still turn up because I love my club.

Probably a culmination of things i.e. end of season and nothing to play for, the shoddy way the club is being run, the absolute dross being served up most of the time etc etc.

I'm really sorry I don't meet your expectations of a genuine supporting football fan of 40 years, maybe I could apologise to you in person for my misdemeanours?

Instead of spouting the normal 'holier than thou' sentiments, why didn't you stop people and ask them why they were leaving early, you know, have an actual human conversation rather than venting, believe me you would've got a lot more from it.

Need to sub Conway. Don't mind trying anyone else up front. Twine? Cornick?

Something not right with Conway. Either confidence or unsettled at the club but not been at it for a while.

Said this to a mate at the ground on Saturday. He looked as though he was playing on a different wavelength to the rest of the team then, caught on his heels and way to slow to react to what were good balls into space down the line.

Not sure what it is tbh, but at a guess I'd say the guy defo know he's out the door, maybe even knows the club with both sides having agreed a prelim fee already.

  6. Is this guy on socials? I've got no time for that cesspit Twitter X but on this occasion its warranted.

Surely they can't be paying him for that absolute joke of a co comms, added absolutely nothing in terms of insightful thoughts on tactical play etc, just one c**k in the mouth moment after another!

  7. Where the hell is option C crack?

I'd go with back first, then crack under pressure, then sack!

This is a vote for the order of preference for a Manzillian aint it, or am I on the wrong website? Just asking for a friend btw, he's worried about the below, can anyone offer any reassurances please?

  8. Felt for this guy. Could it be overwhelming nerves, I don't know, but his brain just looked scrambled after a couple of minutes so could've been the realisation that he had to produce as the pressure was on, bit different to being two three nil up.

Surely anxiety must've overtaken him to look that bad, how else do you explain some of the decisions he was making. There will be some players out there that will never be able to deal with the pressure of playing in front of a large amount of people, musicians call it stage fright.

Just watched his 22/23 season highlights. Like people say it's just kids/teenagers football so you can't really tell, but he does look as though he's got something about him!

It’s hardly surprising when you hear of absolute selfish tossers buying a cheap kids ticket in addition to their own so they don’t have to sit next to someone.

Really, I've never heard that one before, ******* mental mate if true. BTW no one sits next to me, in the words of Shaggy 'wasn't me'!

I honestly think that mehmeti isn’t intelligent enough as a player. He’ll do well against league one defenders but struggles against better players. Also if you notice some of our players (Pring) especially getting frustrated with him. I’ve said before . The higher you go , the big difference is decision making. He doesn’t see the picture quickly enough & dwells on the ball too much which indicates it.
I don’t think you can coach that. I hope I’m wrong but it didn’t take long for manning to give him a run then replace him with twine .

Absolutely this. Real top players already have this built in.

In some ways I believe it can be coached but in my opinion would take a lightbulb moment from the player, either being coached by a mentor type figure on the same wavelength, who they respect massively or to develop his/hers spiritual intellect i.e they have to realise that the team comes first...ALWAYS.

For a talented player that has come through the ranks this is such a hard thing to compute because they have always been the centre of attention and lauded for their individuality. Here within lies the challenge for said player in finding the balance of split second decision making, making the pass or running with the ball. Gifted players don't have this issue because it's inherently built in and something they don't really have to think about, it just happens naturally. They will be able to visualise and make a run accordingly to receive the ball back, or make dummy runs to pull another player out of position etc etc.

Obviously it's so much more difficult for players further down the football pyramid, because it's unlikely they will be playing with team-mates on a similar wavelength to orchestrate individual improvements in decision-making.

I too am not sure whether Mehmeti has this ability or has the potential ability i.e. character, intelligence etc.
