Which will make them bivouacs

Bivouac; bivouac shelter is any of a variety of improvised camp site, or shelter that is usually of a temporary nature.....................
Seems an apt description.

Glanced through the pictures, and there are a lot of them, and saw one team photo with Bobby "Shadow" Williams in it. Had forgotten he went to the gas after leaving us and going to Rotherham.

More likely to be a knock on the door by a duffer(someone who sales things door to door out of a catalogue, for you younger ones) wanting his weekly payment, and all the R***** staff dive behind the sofa, pretending there’s no one in.
When we were kids in the 50s/60s we were experts at diving out of site when the door was knocked.
But in all fairness one duffer who called for years joined the company I was an apprentice for as a van driver. He didn't say a word to the other employees though.

Well to be fair, several thousand of our season ticket holders don't turn up for most games.
Blimey 40 minutes and nothing about the team not being present either! Everyone must be Christmas shopping.

Is this Brexit PR by the French President associating with a rag tag bunch to wind up the Remainers.

I was in Asda yesterday and saw a 30 something Sag dressed in full kit. I was so tempted to ask him if he was on lunch from McDonalds....but knowing their supporters he would probably have tried to go all Tote End about it so I didn’t bother.
Was up on the Downs last week on a sunny afternoon buying an ice cream by the Sea Walls. Saw a sag with his shirt on looking upstream towards the Suspension Bridge. In the background the Lansdown Stand was glinting in the sunshine. I wondered what his thoughts might be as he stood there on top of the cliff?

I'm afraid I'm going back 30, how time flies. At least I know where to avoid now.
Roy and Madge Savage ran the gaffe in my day there 50 odd years ago.

Rovers would've had a trip to the Etihad, how unfortunate
But would they have had Arsenal. First 11 numbers appear to be in alphabetical order. If they had beaten Wolves would they have been number 3.
Then who would they have played?

Slightly off-topic but ever since Kraft owned Cadbury's (Fry's in our day) from that horrid takeover, I have done my best not to buy Cadbury's chocolate. Mind you Fry's had football pitches so thats back on topic! Trouble is my wife and son like Cadbury chocolate. A deal was made that they could buy Cadbury.
If I buy chocolate for the family, it's either Sainsbury's own brand or a Swiss manufacturer.
My stance on this important matter certainly has rattled Kraft or whatever they're called now.......maybe!
Have taken the same stance with regards to Cadbury/ Kraft and refuse to buy even though it causes much eye and slight head lifting from the rest of the family.

He must have been a mug to play for them lot.
Afraid it was a purple patch for the gas in the 10 years Vic played for them. 8 seasons they finished above us 2 of them in a higher league!!! So maybe not a mug.

To be fair, George Petherbridge was some player for them according to much older Gas fans - played around 500 games for them as a winger. Scored in 16 consecutive seasons - there's a road named after him in Eastville....
Vic Lambden was no mug either. Just checked Wiki 117 goals in 269 appearances including a 9 minute hat trick.

Get down to P C World and get some ointment, that'll sort it.

Just seen the EP / BP headline of speculation of a stadium announcement after the Millwall game. Could be carnage all round!

It was earlier than '76, maybe we beat them 1-0, remember Francis being some sort of wonder kid at the time and he was only about 17/18
Probably, it was 1972 when we beat them 1 - 0 at home.

I think Brum was 71/72ish, couldn't move them, think they won 1-0 with a very young Trevor Francis goal, Pompey also immovable round about the same time, no-one else that I can remember came on the EE and stayed in such large numbers as those two
Think that game was 1976 the only time I have taken the wife to see the City. She wanted to see Trevor Francis. Have read reports previously off trouble at the game can't remember any and when I asked the missus she said the same and she would never had let me forget it had there been any.

Great stuff Bert but I think your 4-2-4 reference will be lost on the young uns. Keep it up.

If you call full scale riots, smashed up pubs and the police helicopter up in the sky due to running battles on Stanley Park a celebration, you must have definitely have been brought up in Knowle West!... That was my experience of that Derby in 2003 anyway.

The free kick hit the post and rebounded off of RO, harsh to put any blame on him.
But had he been positioned a pace to his left he would have got a good hand to the ball and surely would still have been able to cover his right hand post if necessary.

We looked great, Kodjia in particular. Some fantastic passes too.
Their free kick was a corker. Nothing to be ashamed of letting that one in
Was unable to get to the game today but have watched the highlights. Feel our keeper's positioning for the free kick was quite poor and not for the first time. Left far to much of the goal to his left ungaurded and invited the player to place the ball into an area he was unable to reach. Highlights really show this error in positioning. No wonder LJ was not happy.

Preferred it when they were down by the docks.
Far less grand when at Telephone Avenue in a 1960s building.
