Just now, Ashton Fete said:
Sykes is best when directly running at defenders creating either chances for himself or others achieved by taking the ball and running on his strongest foot
Yesterday he got into great positions but was constantly having to come inside which became very obvious very quickly
For me he played really well within the constraints put upon him but yet again the decision hampered his strengths and performance
Rather than bringing on ineffective workshy Mehmeti, why not push Cam into Sykes position and move him to the right
Perhaps it was about Sykes managing minutes returning from injury, that’s about the only reason I’d accept
I agree. There was one play where we broke quickly and the ball found its way to Sykes corner edge of box if he had a left foot he had all the time to find his spot...he doesn't so came back inside on his right, which allowed the defender to close him down. Second half brings Anis on, and continues to play Sykes on the left, baffling.

Fixed it myself.
If you go on your Personal Details there is a section for Relationships. If your daughter is down as “Friends and Family” then you can’t get access to buy her tickets. I had to delete my kids relationships, then readd them as “Customer to Customer” - that then meant their seats were available to purchase.
See above
Brilliant, thank you!

Well done you….nice bit of integrity
Stalker!
Why not? Payoff terms if he gets sacked don’t have to be “remainder of contract”.
Integrity is a key part of my profession, so it is definitely inbuilt.
Also, I was actually out for a dog walk. Perfect timing if you like.

I bumped into him as he was leaving the car park earlier. Had a bit of a chat and seems a nice chap, very articulate, and genuinely excited about the job. Didn't ask about back room staff. He asked if I could hold back on posting for a couple of hours, which I was happy to do. Oh, and was happy for me to take his pic (for proof, and all).

Wonder if this is actually going to happen today or if there will be a holding statement tonight I.e. permission given to speak to cover the reason for him not being at Oxford game
It's happening today.

There is no FFP issue. Not under its current set of rules. Nor under any likely new rules either.
This is a club decision.
Is it more about making the club a more attractive investment opportunity? Reducing the wage bill, will be reducing the losses.

Always annoyed me that they are playing noughts and crosses, and they haven't put one in the middle. Everyone knows you start with the middle.

I didn't watch the whole game live but have seen the short highlights. Bell's goal is top class. I especially like that he didn't panic even though he had plenty of time in the penalty box to start panicking!
He also set up Skyes with a quality through ball.
Having said that, I'll not change my opinion on the basis of two football highlights. Bell comes across as a boy in a man's game. Do you disagree?
Did you watch the whole game? Did he fall over a lot?
I did watch the whole game, and no he did not fall over a lot. He was direct and strong, and had Williams squared him the ball instead of chipping back to the goalie, would have had a far simpler chance to open his scoring.
One swallow does not a summer make, but Sam looked quality.

You’ve come up with the answer we’ve all been looking for though…..live near the ground. Never have to worry about parking again!
It was definitely high on the list of reasons to move here

There’s plenty of free on-street parking closer to the ground than the cricket club. You just need to know where to look
……admittedly you need you arrive much earlier, but it saves over 20 lots of parking fees each season.
Are you the chap that parks up in front of my house at 11am for a 3pm ko, then sits in his car until 2:55?

But when the offence started (being offside) he was in the opposition half, running back into our half, where he then directly affected play. It is at that point where the kick is taken,

I thought he sounded suitably sombre when announcing the subs.
Said the same to my mate at the time. Why not put some excitement in your voice for any City subs, and leave the sombre tone for the away team?

Oh absolutely. Steve would not have done this on a whim. There will have been an option in place, that now outline planning had been granted, will have been triggered.

Far to bright, and as you said @Tristan Cork from the South Stand, I can hardly make out the players at times. If you could mention turning of the lights in the stands as well, please.

Well. A lot of fans seem to think it's OK to park wherever they want and however dangerously they want. So I get it. But the net result is obviously much less parking available on Duckmoor, Smyth etc etc
The new double yelllow lines are only in places where they have previously placed cones. However, those cones seemed little to discourage some people who think they are above everyone else, so go ahead and move them, thus blocking up junctions, causing traffic jams and making it difficult for people to cross safely.
-
Yeah that junction was a nightmare, cars just abandoned. The council will shortly be putting double yellow lines around that coroner, and a number of other corners throughout Ashton, which will mean even few places to park, but will stop the sort of congestion seen on Saturday.

They must be able to tell from the amount of people requesting to go in there at ST renewal.
But what do you do with the current season ticket holders in those blocks, who have no desire to stand for the whole match, and like having the same seat each game? You can't just turf them out of their seats.

When we played them last year, people around me commented on how he was a proper, get you head stuck in, defender; someone we haven't had since Shaun Taylor.
Last home game and the same people were saying a Shaun Taylor esque player was what we needed to get us out of this hole!
I have to say what a great signing. We will probably never know the fee paid, or the salary he is on (why would we?) but he is EXACTLY the player we need.
Sykes: Why was he on the left?
