Andre Marriner is saturdays ref
Northern Red replied to Never to the dark side's topic in Football Chat
I notice Robert Madley, who did our game against West Brom, has been promoted to the PL this weekend and will referee Brentford v Wolves. -
There's a broadcast deal for it until 2028 so they'll either have to continue with it in some form or come up with an alternative (franchise T20 most likely) to keep Sky happy.

First home game is against us.

Let me guess, the children on Twitter?

I know the Gould appointment is being discussed at length elsewhere, but from a cricketing perspective ?
-
".....everywhere they goooo...."
-
Definitely more red cards in this.
-
If I had to guess I'd say the ECB will want him in place for the start of the cricket season in April.
-
Stop bowling full tosses at him FFS.
-
Some innings to be fair to the appalling ****.
-
And Somerset before that. It's a blow to us, but one that I think the club would have known was always a possibility when they appointed him, so hopefully there has been at least some degree of planning. And I don't think Gould would be anything other than a consummate professional whilst serving his notice period.

Evidently what was needed was for everyone to moan about the team selection before the match. It had the desired effect the other night. -

Are there any players that any of you do like? -

Knowing SSN it wouldn't be a surprise if they simply haven't updated their information from last weekend. edit: great minds @Davefevs! -
If he does go there's bound to be a notice period. I imagine the ECB would ideally want someone in place for the start of the new season in April.

Don't feed it lads.

They are and that strengthens Ten Hag's argument for not using him. I didn't see any of last night's game but apparently it was one of their best performances for quite some time, in addition to beating Liverpool and Arsenal without him starting.
-
As much as it's a distraction that Ten Hag can do without, in a way I think he might be quite glad to be able to show that he's not to be messed with, and it underlines his authority to the rest of the players.
-
He's done.

This is now listed as being shown on the Sky red button. Which means it'll be on Robins TV for UK viewers too.

I'd forgotten about this tbh. No game coming up at the weekend obviously influenced the team selection, was much stronger than would normally be the case in this competition. First clean sheet at Bath since 1962 apparently.

I was only watching on the red button so didn't have the benefit of any replays, but the commentator suggested that the Atkinson one could have gone either way but that he might have been in trouble if we'd had VAR, whilst the Williams one definitely was but was outside the box.
