  1. Reasons for optimism BCFC fans.

Sky Blues were under par, but you looked more like winning.  The difference between this game and our game against Leicester was startling.  Your team were well drilled.
I was beginning to feel like a Sunderland fan when you scored to go 2-1 up. It was not a good game to watch. BCFC pressed well, both teams lost the ball easily and you put in better shots on goal. It felt like you were going to win and we got out of jail.

Good to see your travelling faithful.  I think both sets of fans struggled to get behind their teams. Our first goal celebration was muted, probably because we expected your defenders to clear it.  Flat midweek game that felt more like a 0-0 than 2-2.

A couple of wins and you will be near the play-offs.

I know quite a lot of Coventry fans and they simply refuse to accept that the timing of their promotion enabled them to take advantage of other teams cutting back. They were able to spend and improve their decent squad at a time where others couldn't. Their fans will not accept anything other than that they had the 2nd lowest budget in the league. They like to frame themselves as some sort of fairytale.

We did. It’s a fact.  Out there on the internet somewhere.    This close  season we lost 14 players and 2 key players. Rebuild WIP.  35 million for 2 players helps.    But we were way behind you on player wages.  My guess is that it put your club under financial pressure.

An extra 6k season ticket holders has helped. We now have 19.5k ST holders.  25k average gates at the moment.  Getting rid of our previous owners did aswell.

    That is from Autumn 2022.

Yeh, but I’d seen some stats of around 1142 recently.
The trend nowadays is for more fans to travel.  BCFC season has been good

This article paints a better picture

Also, this backs up your comment with info up to 8 away games for Bristol..

    12) BRISTOL CITY

They have an average away attendance of 1,935 for the 2023/24 season after 8 away games played.

The total amount of travellers for the club sits at 15,476, the highest is 3,305 while the lowest is 404.

The Championship average amount of miles is 158.4, for Bristol City, their average across a full season is 159.

They had an average away attendance of 1,144 for the 2022/23 Championship season, finishing 14th with 59 points from 46 games played.

Bristol City had an average away attendance of 1,187, with the club finishing 17th place in the 2021/22 Championship league table, picking up 55 points from 46 games.

There was no average away attendance figure for the 2020/21 season due to the coronavirus pandemic preventing fans going to games.

The average away attendance for Bristol City for the 2019/20 season was 1,171. They had 1,061 for the 2018/19 season.

    1,200??

Bit low. Ground holds enough to allocate 2k minimum, or 10% If they would prefer- how did that come about.

Game itself, I don't hold out great hope. Point would be a good result.

I’m CCFC.  The away followings are normally allocated up to 4000.  It must be from your side.

I had a look at your travelling supporter stats and you’d only sold 746.  So I was thinking 900-1100 is about right given it’s a Tuesday.

Surprised to see your average following away from home is only 1142 this season. Which is better than last season. ,

Hiya, what the source re Kalas / yourselves, other than on your forum.  Not sure I’ve seen anything here?

It’s just conjecture.  Crystal ball.  Could be true of course.

I came on here because it had been mentioned on our site.  I then see that a poster surmises that possibility.  It does seem possible.  Then I read off here that he’s had his share of injuries.
I guess we will know in a few weeks.

They’ve not had to deal with £60m of losses and a mahoosive cost base holding them back.  They have issues, different ones, but they are building effectively.  We start our similar journey this summer.

CCFC player wages budget 2nd lowest in the league.    We’ve had shit thrown at us for the last 15 years. (Us fans).  Our previous owners ran us like a hardware store with loss prevention on the doors.   They starved the club.

    New owner in January.

  7. Evening,  Sky Blues fan who drops on here occasionally.

After a bad few days we now have news of Dasilva joining us.  I think I remember seeing him play ..Quite fast.   I was surprised to see that he is not the 6’4

And both this forum and Skybluestalk link Tomáš ….. to us as well (no contract signed at bcfc yet?

Palmer, Dasilva… What is the likelihood of another opting to leave you?  Mark Robins clearly respects your players.
