  1. Yep. Finance guy. They generally all have that sour tone. I saw walking around Ashton Gate, during the working day, wearing very short cycling shorts. That was enough for him to decide he’s a wrong un
  2. How do you drive a van to Sunderland and back in 8 hours?
  3. Fever pitch branching out and recycling crap?
  4. No, I haven’t listened to it. Hence why I asked two questions. Ive listened to all his City stuff so far, and some of the Oxford stuff. I’ve heard enough to form an opinion.
  5. I probably will eventually but the guy just doesn’t have me rushing to listen to him.
  6. So has been focusing on the defence but pleased with the attacking bits? Really? Was he asked about promotion and why the board say one thing and him another?
  7. I wouldn’t even let Rashford, Henderson and Gallagher on the plane as cabin crew, based on last night.
  8. Oi, that’s our ex players you’re speaking about!
  9. He does do a brilliant Hitler impression but that went down like a led balloon during his first press conference.
  10. Jim White ‘is the aim the play offs?’ Liam Manning ‘Doesn’t have to be…waffle waffle waffle’
  11. Well, his distribution would be better than O’Leary and Tanner!
  12. He has played almost 40 games as DM/CM/AM/SS. He’s played midfield, and done well, for City. I think the myth is when people say he can’t play a certain position.
  13. He’s done very little going forward. He’s fortunate we signed Hayden Roberts and not Joe Bryan.
  14. Classic Ian this ep. Ian ‘ we can’t judge the guy on one game…gotta give him time..OTIB overreact’ Ian ‘If I don’t see a better performance against a Boro (twice the team of QPR) I’ll start asking questions’ Another myth that seems to be accepted as fact on the pod is that Naismith can’t play at the back as he’s beaten in the air too easily. I’m sure Naismith was top of duels won in the league at some point (maybe @Davefevs could confirm)
  15. I do like that set up. I want to see a front two but would be hesitant in changing to back a 3/5, as we look pretty solid. Id be tempted to play Sykes in place of Tanner, especially at home. Tanner just doesn’t offer anything going forward. I think he’ll end up as a CB, ideally in a 3.
  16. I thought he may have come on for Pring, who was on a booking and was offering very little offensively.
  17. Wasn’t Jon Lansdown one of your first ‘cider with…’ guest? That seems a long time ago for the club.

    Andy King

I meant physically on the bench, not named as a substitute.

I saw a few faces I didn’t expect recognise. It seems like the new guy will have more back room staff than Nige.

I didn’t see Andy King on the bench yesterday. Can we assume he’s no longer a coach as well? I guess he’s been replaced by that experienced coach Cisse.
  21. Yeah didn’t notice TGH wasn’t there. You’re right, he only signed when McCrorie was confirmed as a long term injury.
  22. It’s almost like the club let two midfielders leave the club and not replace them.
  23. Fair enough if you have missed all of the written and record interviews of Nige speaking about it. Tinnion said we had a plan with Scott and a plan for when we sold him. The club and Nige said after Scott was sold, we were at our budget and couldn’t bring anyone in. Fast forward to now - Jon Lansdown says there may be new players during Jan but it’ll be difficult. Tinnion said Nige turned down the chance to sign players after Scott was sold. (Why would they offer him players if there was no budget) All these things can’t be true. It makes no sense for Nige to come out complaining he couldn’t spend, if he was offered the chance it. I know who I believe, who has the reason to lie and who had no reason to lie.
