Bidding history below. It looks like 5 people on the final day went up agasint each other, with the eventual winner coming in at around £183, and manually upping their bid several times against the others...

Just to show my thinking that this shirt is from the 1984/85 season, not the 1985/86 season, I dug out the team photos from the 2x seasons.

Note the position of the B.C 82 badge. In the 1984/85 season the B.C. 82 is stamped inline with the T in Hirerite (just like the bay shirt). In 1985/86 the B.C. 82 was stamped inline with the outside edge of the last E in Hirerite.

Any 'notice period' payment Nige currently has will highly likely be part of a brand new compromise/settlement agreement. A compromise/settlement agreement fully supersedes any original contract of employment. It is also likely that there will be other financial benefits in return for his 'silence', although it won't be explicitly stated in that way.

It's nothing to do with a NDA, Nige will likely be under terms defined in his Compromise/Settlement agreement. 

Lansdown is too shred a man to allow any sacked employee to speak ill of him/BCFC etc over any period of time. As part of Nige's severance, in the agreement there would have been clauses to say that he is not able to speak negatively about BCFC and its employees, else they can seek damages and the return of any settlement figure given.

IMO, anyone expecting this to be a BCFC slagging match, is going to be highly disappointed. 

That is... unless Nige didn't agree to any sort of financial severance, nor sign any financial compensation package. If he didn't, then it could be guns loaded and ships ahoy....

I collect City shirts and IMO it's certainly not a shirt which was worn or taken to Wembley in 1986. IMO it's not even a shirt from the 1985/86 season!

The 1986 wembley shirt was totally unique, and printed for the occasion. The logos, printing, badges were different sizes to the regular season shirts, and totally unique to that day.

The main shirt style was used from Dec 1983 through to the end of the 1985/86 season (it was replaced in July/Aug 86 by a shirt which brought back the robin, and was in used for just 6mths at the very start of the 86/87 season, then the white band shirt was introduced in Dec '86), so it crossed several seasons, but there were subtle differences...

Player shirts (excluding the goalkeeper) from Dec 83 onwards in the 83/84 season, and also in the full 1984/85 season, had the B.C. 82 stamped inline with the T in Hirerite. In 1985/86 the B.C. 82 was stamped inline with the outside edge of the last E in Hirerite. Extra nerd points, but in the 85/86 season the player shirts also had a mix of old and new Bukta logos. 

The number on this specific eBay shirt is machine stitched, not hand-stitched as being suggested here, see below. In 1985/86 all player numbers were pressed on, along with badges, sponsors and logos.

If this is a players shirt, then there is a chance it something from the 83/84 or 84/85 season, but if I were a betting man then this is a replica 84/85 shirt with a number which has been put on ad-hoc with a sewing machine by somebody.

Another example of a great manager, who crucially wasn't financially backed, and met their demise in an unfair fashion.

I often wonder where we might have been if he'd had the financial backing he was promised, and his 'straightforward' personality was accepted.

7. Click and collect isn't processed in-store, it's processed at Huboo and sent to the club shop for collection.
8. The shop staff have zero view of Huboo stock levels, and vice versa.

I love the guy.  Pure and simple, he's a city legend and was in the team for my first four years as a fan and had a left peg I absolutely worshipped.

Anyway, I'm not here to talk about his football legacy, I think it's cruel and unfair the way he's treated on here, quite often as a figure of fun and with his intelligence and communication skills being mocked and belittled, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

He's not our enemy, he's our ambassador, he's a man who's gave most of his working career to our club, even though being a Geordie and having no previous affinity to the club.

We know he's not the best fit for the job he currently has, but he had the ambition to go for it, the same as his stint as a manager, he wasn't up to speed, but he had the ambition and drive to go for it.  I respect and love that.

It's not his fault if he's not right for the job, it's up the people above him if they feel he should be replaced.

Personally, I want him in charge of the academy, that's his best fit and hopefully he will be back there sometime in the future - back within his comfort zone.

But in the meantime, he will definitely be giving everything to the club and deserves much more respect and our support.

You don't have to love Pearson and hate Brian, you can appreciate them both!

And even though I don't agree with Manning being our gaffer, I can see the reasons why he was recruited.

I see the chancers have started to appear on eBay, trying to resell these shirts at a profit.

After over half a season waiting around for stock to arrive, various emails/calls to the club shop each week/fortnight for stock updates, fielding the questions from my daughter(8) and son(10) about when their new kit might be coming... I've finally given up trying to give my money to the club, and instead ordered some copy kits from the internet for them both. A total of £28.30 (£14.15 each) for shirt/shorts and name & number printing.

I know they probably won't be as good, I know it's not morally right, but if my club (who I've supported in different ways for 30+ years) can't do basic things such as allow parents to buy shirts and kit for their kids, then why shouldn't I?!?

As you say, it's all a complete shambles.

As for the shirt. Great idea, and nice to see, but the story & narrative around it is just embarrassing. A QPR ST holder I work with saw the news and laughed at me about it. Leeds fans are ripping into it all over social media, and I had a Forest fan message me and say WTF.

So, as an exile who has been trying, since last October, the simple act of buying a complete Pink goalkeeper kit for my 7yr old girl (as well as a complete black away kit or yellow third kit for my 10yr old boy), I have to:

1. Accept she can't have her name and number on the back, unless I can get somebody to go in-store for me, and the shop has stock to get it printed, which I then have reimburse the person and ask them to post it to me.
2. Ring the shop periodically, which in itself is nigh on impossible to get an answer.
3. Check online stock daily because there is no email notification option for restock.

The whole process is a farce and embarrassing... and all that's before you get onto the lack of actual stock being available, which I find mind-blowing! We are on an amazing cup run and pushing for promotion, yet there has been **** all Away/Third/Goalkeeper shirt/kit available for pretty much all ages & sizes since Summer last year!

It really really really shouldn't be this difficult.
