  1. You'll be disappointed then.

Moore; El-Abd, Flint, Williams; Wagstaff, M Elliott, Gillett, Bryan, Cunningham; Emmanuel-Thomas, Baldock.

Subs: Barnett, Burns, Pack, Reid, W Elliott, Moloney, Fielding

Another bizarre selection, I think. Burns not worth a start? Pack dropped?

Cunningham and Bryan is an unusual combination.  I assume Cunningham is playing more centrally?

  2. I don't need to be at the game to know the type of finisher Baldock is.  he is a scorer of goals, he is not a good finisher. If i am there to witness it or not it matters not. If he hadn't scored 2 we would have lost 2-0, if he had scored the ones he missed we could of won, if MK dons had scored 2 sitters they missed we could have lost, it matters not, he scored 2 goals,if he hadn't we would have  lost 2-0. So he may have actually got us a point.

I didn't know Donald Rumsfeld was a City fan.

  3. He's an enigma.  You want to be cross with him, but he's got a brace.  Terrible finishing though - too often, in one on ones, he always goes for the blaster at the goalie.  Mind you JET should have put away that first minute chance too.

  4. A 6ft 3 lump who's good in the air, not afraid to smash into anyone (ask Greg), was playing non league 4 years ago, is 28 years old and is on the transfer list for being involved in a night club fracas.

Burt or Cotterill? I think I know where my money is... This lad wouldve fit right into "the crazy gang" back in the day.

    BORING.

  5. "Passion" is a buzzword people who know nothing about football use to describe an imaginary quality.  In answer to your question, I'd say the ability to motivate players and tactical awareness to get the best out of a limited group on limited resources.

I tend to agree with you although I don't agree that passion is entirely nebulous.  We've all recognised it in particular players in the past.  I could mention Hartley, Carey or Sean Taylor for example.

What we do want is a manager that ticks as many boxes as possible.  And for me that does include a passion box as well.

  6. I'm adding Warnock and Cloggerill to your list of one.

I've never felt so disillusioned with BCFC as I do now and that's not helped by JL's insistence that an intangible attribute like 'passion' is at the top of his priorities for the manager...

If they get this wrong it's gonna take something odd to happen for me to feel the same way about the club and those destroying running it.

What should the top priority be?  Coaching. tactical nous or grandiose philosophising?  SOD apparently excelled in all those and proved to be crap.  I think just a smattering of passion can go a long way.

  7. What was the point in us getting McLaughlin in on loan if were just going to put Shorey on instead of him?

I was thinking the same.  He's turned out to be a wasted loan.  I'm not sure what he's done wrong, but I can only assume he's got no future here.  I still don't really understand why Taylor was dropped either.

Anyway, let's hope we can negotiate this potential banana skin.

  8. McIndoe? This post possibly proves women know nothing about football :mafia:

Carey and Elliott are the only two contenders for me, really tough to split them but if pushed I'd probably go for Carey, purely for the fact he's a leader of men and we just look completely shite when he's not out there.

    Eliott close second

    Basso third.

That's a tad unfair. McIndoe's had a good season so far. However, for me it would be one of Basso, Elliot or Fontaine.
