I have supported City for 50 years and have seen a lot of mediocre, unmotivated sides at Ashton Gate. 
I now live abroad so don’t get to see many live games but this season I took my son away to Millwall and then also got the change to see the City home game against Stoke. Millwall was a fantastic last minute win - but even in the defeat against Stoke you could see a team that was playing for each other, highly motivated, proactive with and without the ball and playing with a really positive identity. I walked out of that defeat thinking this is a real team we have here and despite the loss the future is bright and I’m proud to be a city fan.

So thank you Mr Nigel Pearson for building that identity, that spirit that sense of purpose and endeavour and building a team that clearly desperately wanted to do their very best for themselves, for each other, for you and for the supporters. 
 

It’s truly shameful that the powers that be have pushed you out the door before you and we got the chance to see the full return on your investment in our club. I hope whoever follows you does justice to the foundations you have laid and the course you have set.  We will remember what you did and if somehow we do achieve any success in the coming years we will know that much of it was down to the hard work and the principles and the standards that you brought to our club.

How do we think the clubs ambition was presented to young, ambitious new signings like Knight? All these first interviews about pushing for promotion etc etc. Do we think they will feel they have been mis- sold on a project that was never going to be a goer in reality? 

We needed presence up front yesterday - the lack of it was why we dominated but didn’t look dangerous. Nakhi was ok but Bell too lightweight by far. We can’t go numerous months without a good option to Nakhi and expect to challenge IMHO

I spent 77 quid on a shirt and shorts for my 5 year old on Tuesday before the shit served up at birmingham. & now this. Sorry, but King and no Nagy is not merit based selection. Could say the same about Kalas....but no Nagy even in the bench if he is fit is pretty scandalous

Or can't reaaly lose. Three points or a new manager. Ideally both through a dire performance and a fluky win but LJ being shown the door...

2 of 6 new signings in window already dropped. Rolls Royce in the garage etc etc. If I was paying for all these signings and all their wages and then watching how they were being used - or not - I'd be furious. Beggars belief that the paymaster appears content.

Criikes I want us to win but we so need this joker sacked. Is asking for. both on the same day being greedy?

Can I dream that we fluke a win with an own goal but our performance remains so dire that SL has to sack him. Have yr cake and eating it ....  But after 40 years of supporting city I am in need of something sweet

This is not project make LJ a management career. This is about Bristol city making progress. We are a disaster in progress...

Obviously he needs to go. Needs to happen now so new guy get a free game in the cup to test things and prepare for the Sheff Wed game. Would have thought Rowett is the obvious option - knows the league and would have dreamt of having the kind of resources that LJ has enjoyed. As others have said - can't argue with SL on generosity and MA on business done - but pointless if it's not brought together effectively on the pitch. After more than a year we still lack consistency in formation and selection I.e he does not really know what he is doing.
