  1. Easiest decision I’ve had to make in a long time - irrespective of the bull/lies being fed this season by our owner/board, a 20% increase on my 2 season tickets in the south stand for me and my daughter.

I hope those that wanted season ticket holders to be moved out of the south stand will now take up our empty seats.

As a former employee (before BS), season ticket holder for 25+ years and fan for many more years this is a very sad, but at the same time a ‘feeling of relief’ day, to detach me from this commitment and enable me to pick and choose what I do next

Football fans have always been a fickle lot. Were you around in the early 80s? City considered 6k a decent attendance.

No, as I was born early 80s, but my Dad was I would have been too. I know football fans are fickle, still doesn’t excuse your loving of them

I’ve posted before that I no longer do all that “we hate the gas” stuff - I used to when both clubs were in the same league - there’s nothing quite like a Bristol derby for the atmosphere particularly at AG.

I appreciate they’ve been irrelevant for 2+ decades, but I’m sorry I’ll never come round to wishing them well.

Growing up in North Bristol with the majority being Rovers in the late 80s/90s wasn’t very pleasant.

Thankfully, many of these ‘loyal blue fans’ turned their back on their club, but the past few months they’ve started to come out of the woodwork again.

Our infrastructure, stadium, fanbase, etc is greater, but footballs a funny game and apart from their exit from the FL they’ve been on the whole scabby (in more ways than one)!

If/when the time comes that we face each other again, I’ll certainly not be wishing them well!

Regardless of what your opinion is nobody  can deny that Joey Barton has not done a decent job at the gas - they’re in with an excellent chance of automatic later today.

Even if they miss out they’ll be the form side going into the pray offs. I hope they do it.

Hope they do it! Yeah, I’m sure the methane snorters are hoping one day we get to the Prem too! How can any City fan wish them well (I don’t expect you to answer btw)!

It certainly is a minority that will end up ruining it for the rest. Surely some self policing can be done. Did anyone have a proper pop at the guy who threw the can? Plenty would know who did it. Clearly there is no deterrent from within 82.

I agree that some will have seen it and should report it (maybe some have reported it), but I was watching the game and didn’t see who threw the objects.

I reiterate that this is for the police/stewards/safety officer/club to use the cctv to identify the perpetrators.

Section 82 are throwing objects every game it seems. Maybe it was a mistake to make that area, as it just attracts louts.

The Dolman fighting is embarrassing. 8 on 1.  So ruddy bloody brave.

I’m not going to excuse some of the embarrassing behaviour in the singing section by a ‘minority’ that throw smoke bombs/cans of haze (what a waste of cider), but I don’t like being tarred with the same brush.

I’ve never once even thought of throwing something onto the pitch/at an opposition player. I go to games to support my team and I’m confident speaking on behalf of the majority in the same area that they’re like minded too, in particular section 82.

I do however think these idiots should be weeded out and police/stewards need to step up to help with this.

If Rovers do win tonight, is the final of this joke competition (current format) played in the morning, before a proper first team final, or Spurs home match, or do they actually give it its own date in the diary..?

Whilst they’re there they could compare how each respective clubs stadium developments are coming along

  8. Love reading your match day threads. I think you've gone up another level with this one though (if that was ever possible). Perfectly put and appropriately respectful of what cotts has done for us.

We need to follow in Cotts' winning mentality to rally round and support the team no matter what today as the players and Pemberton/Wade will need it more than ever.

Thanks again for an excellent read and helping to inspire us all on match day, this certainly made me feel proud again of my club that we do have great fans supporting this club and we'll always be there to keep the red flag flying high!
