The we can't compete rhetoric really did get to me. If that's the case, why even say it? Any even remotely talented player will look at us as a club going backwards, not on the up. And I'm sorry, the way in which we are made to feel a burden for wanting investment and quality in our squad by Pearson, the fact it all seems too much of an effort and the fact we want to progress and he's doing us a favour just grinds my gears.
