Perhaps with Tottenham to play they’ll make an exception with the quality facilities/pitch etc they’ll have. With u21’s you just don’t want to send them long distance to play on some substandard pitch which may increase risk of injury again.
Think the Spurs game is at St Albans on Tuesday and the final group game with Sunderland is at Easington Colliery on Monday 5th. No idea of the quality of the surfaces sorry but presumably Easington was decent below the surface!

I don’t know much about him but he seems a big lad with pace and good feet
Under16’s I think but has already played up in the u18s and one (?) sub appearance in the U21s.

Burnley are mid-table in the Northern section, City top of the Southern section. 4-0 to City in August I think so let’s hope for more of the same!

Pretty sure we lost to Gillingham at home in the late 40’s and they were non-league at the time.

Anyone know anything about the U23s becoming U21s this season? At least from a PDL2 league point of view?
Apologies if covered elsewhere, I stumbled across it when I saw the fixtures were out but nothing mentioned on the official site.
if I’m right, our “U21s” start at Barnsley next week with the first home game being Hull City on the 16th.

Think Gow had a slower start (although didn’t witness it myself as just before my time) also debuting at 17, so that probably isn’t as extraordinary as it sounds. Would be fantastic if Scott reached Sir Gerry’s heights, albeit a different type of player. As a minimum Alex needs to get himself inserted into a Half Man Half Biscuit song, before he can start to be compared properly with Sir G.
I look forward to the day I get thee Alex Scotts in one pack.

I was just thinking the other day how you never see anyone climb up onto the roof of the stand like you used to at almost every game.
It was definitely inflamable material, full of flags and emblems, barbed wire love, you'd just go or it, fly the flag. The memories fade away, but back then it was roots, radicals, rockers and reggae, a brilliant wasted life, at the edge. Nowadays its like an alternative Ulster, just bits of kids with their suspect devices. Listen, it doesn't make it alright, but here we are nowhere, Gotta getaway. We're nobody's heroes. All the best.
Hanx!

My mate wore a Dukla Prague away kit shirt to the Gate, but that's another story...
I’ve heard that’s easy if your uncle owns a sports shop.

So, anyone off to Frome on the 26th for this or is it just me?
I was going to do a Westward Ho! reference but I guess its South East for most of us.
Not been to the venue before (Cheese & Grain) so looking forward to a good night.

Oops, just crashed the main forum with this! Thought the mention of Trevor Tainton justified it. Thanks Dave for the pointer to this thread.
Amazing how many posters from the forum were there! Testament to the quality of the band I suggest.
Personally I thought the band were on great form last night. I’m probably in the minority in saying that I love the new stuff more than the old. Long may they continue!

I know from the references over the years that there’s a small HMHB Appreciation Society on here so thought I’d mention that Friday’s gig at SWX opened with a name check for Trevor Tainton!

Pretty sure Man City showed their home QF v Spurs live if that’s an indication.
