  1. I actually saw Malaga Vs Barcelona there in 2000. Four of us on a golf trip rocked up and got tickets on the day, the Barcelona team that day was insane, the De Boers’, Kluivert,  Rivaldo, Figo and some midfielder named Guardiola.. 99% Malaga fans, 2-1 win for Barca that they didn’t deserve, but when Malaga scored the whole concrete stand we were in was moving…generally though, the atmosphere didn’t feel like a big City game, I think because Spanish fans don’t travel…mind you…Rivaldo…wow…

  2. I was going to post about this yesterday but thought not..however, as someone else has..WTF is it about people parking on red zones, dumb places, and grass, all risking ticketing, when there are 3500 free parking spaces 50 meters away? You are creating bloody mayhem, because you prevent people filtering, you prevent buses accessing/exiting properly, and it makes no sense? There was somebody yesterday who actually parked blocking the exit of the car park…can anyone explain why??

This lot of now maimed Middle Eastern women would welcome the freedom of choice to not wear hijabs.

Holy crap, you are seriously going with that?
    Tell you what… https://www.thenationalnews.com/lifestyle/fashion/2022/03/08/the-fight-for-the-hijab-muslim-women-lament-their-lack-of-freedom-to-choose/?outputType=amp

Hijab isn’t an article of religious oppression, it’s a cultural choice, that is suppressed in some places by religious zealots, and not only those zealots that claim to follow Islam… it’s the choice to or nor to that’s cracked down on by some

Some people need serious education…and  I don’t just mean in the Middle East…

  4. Ok, so I am struggling and need advice…my daughter’s godfather has a son (stick with me)…that boy is a fantastic player and has had an extraordinary youth career..I have obviously followed him since then, and celebrated each milestone…that kid now needs to play first team football and his parent club have agreed he can go on loan..the issue is that pole position, for a number of reasons, is, umm…a certain North Bristol outfit…not a done deal, but it doesn’t sound positive.

Clearly I am making a considerable number of presentations to his father as to why this isn’t a good idea, but, if it did happen, should I

    a) Suck it in and take in a few games at IKEA.

    b) Slightly suck it in and watch a few away games, meaning I could sit somewhere else.

    c) just ignore the whole thing and hope we play them in the FA cup.

    d) Cut all ties and find myself a new friend and my daughter a new godfather?

    It’s a difficult time…

  5. Hands up, I’m not his biggest fan..even with the plaudits he got last year something still bugged me…I feel his distribution/decision making isn’t good enough, but that’s just my opinion, and others have others…however, he played the game yesterday in a way I haven’t seen him before. He definitely saw more action on the left side of the pitch than probably all the games last season added up…and, as someone says, he was more physical,  and to me just seemed…”bigger & more confident”…I was really impressed by how he was not afraid to go into spaces, advance…I’m really looking forward to seeing him develop again this season.

  6. KDB is a Rolls Royce…or Mr Benn…I can’t remember any footballer, at any time in the last 50 years,  having the specific abilities he has of staggering pace, wonderful vision, sublime passing ability and the almost unique talent of fooling defenders into believing he is invisible by simply walking into a spot,  no one picking him up., and then killing a team.

Jackie D could do it for 5 minutes in the Championship…KDB does it for 90, week in week out, against the best footballers on the planet…

I think I’d pay to watch him put his boots on….

  7. He’s so brutally efficient it’s ridiculous…

I said, before he arrived, that in all my time watching City (which is a long time), I would pay to watch only one side beat us..The Man City team we lost to in the league cup…they were extraordinary on the eye…now they have a man that needs 1.5 chances to score a goal…I’d definitely pay!

And we have Lincoln in the next round…?

  8. Absolutely chuffed…not only did Alex Scott play a major part, but a little lad who 10 years ago was kicking a ball around in my back garden, Captained the side and set the goal up with an outrageous ball…

oh..& if you fancy a good trip, Slovakia is bloody amazing apparently…

  9. An absolute tonic, the antithesis of the spoiled, money grabbing, cat kicking, woman beating low life that seem to be hero worshipped…

I can’t actually think of an opposition player who deserves to be applauded more when he visits AG.

You just know that when he hangs up his professional boots, he will be kicking a ball round with his mates in Sunday league because he just loves the game…

  10. I’m fascinated…what exactly is it about a man who, as manager, has won 32 games of football in the last 5 years that has people “believing in him”?

Is it his engaging personality? Or his inspiring brand of football? Or maybe that he is hard bastard that fights wolves with his bare hands??

    More red slowly creeping in.

It’s worth it Tom, simply to watch the group of “supporters” that said they would never cross the City from the Mem...they are imploding...

I actually think the shirt itself, in the words of the young people, it’s Sick!
