I always understood that players were not allowed to stop during their run up. A slow run (Jet) is fine, but players have been taking more and more liberties. Today, Ayew for Swansea definitely came to a halt a couple of steps from the ball.
Is this actually a rule, and if so, how would it be penalised. Retake or disallowed?

The three teams we lost to are the top three in the table. The bottom 5 have 2 points between them. Just like the men, early days yet.

What I really like about Bakinson is that he sees a pass before he gets the ball and his one touch passes are usually accurate and often forwards. All this from a basically defensive midfielder.

The issue is, can greater Manchester sustain all the teams they have in the area?
20 years on and there is now two huge Manchester clubs that will draw support from far and wide. Personally I don't think all these greater Manchester clubs will be able to continue in their current form.
Wigan, Reading, Cardiff and Swansea all rose up the football pyramid because of investment. Unfortunately the Burys and Rochdale's of this world are not that attractive of an investment as those clubs were, due to living in the shadow of the huge Manchester clubs.
Natural selection has reduced the number of clubs in an area when times change. The North West couldn't sustain Darwen, Nelson, Glossop and Accrington , and South Wales decline in the valleys saw off Aberdare and Merthyr. All a long time ago, but maybe it's starting again.
You have to hand it people who stick with their club rather than bigger local rivals, but there is point where it just isn't sustainable.

Another win and a further rise up the table. Just like the men.
Sixth now.
Just like the men, they seem to be hard to beat.

Someone on Swansea forum saying we're playing like thugs.
Sour grapes, or are we being a bit rough?
The only thug I've seen in McBurney. Why didn't he get a card for two late tackles in 5 mins?

I fully agree that we have been dropping back far too much, BUT I was encouraged last night. We pressed Fleetwood higher up the pitch. Duric ran himself into the ground, O'Neill kept waving men forward and with him and Hegeler in midfield, Fleetwood had nowhere to go and were often kept on the half way line. In the last few minutes, we went deep again, but overall it was much better. We never looked likely to concede - and remember we were in front for over 70 minutes. If we keep this formation and attitude, we could have a half decent team in the making.

I really don't know. I am wondering if he is fit to be on the bench then why not start him? The manager knows best though , I don't want to get into another Little debate, it's clear I don't rate him but I fear big time if Little does start after what I saw Saturday and what Norwich saw they will target him with question
Like Mastermind ? He could be good at that.

If we do get it back to 3-3, lets hope we don't get a repeat of Coventry when we did the same and then conceded straight from kick off.

Dean Ashton on Quest queried it as well. You'd think the taker had enough advantage without having to stop as well.
