Red Zeppelin
Dissapointed to lose tonight, but had a feeling we would. However, over the last two seasons under Gary, after going out of the cup on 5 occasions, we have then responded in the league with 4 wins and a draw. So we do tend to have bouncebackability!! I BELIEVE
What i don't understand is why we are so bad in cup compititions and so brilliant in the league? We put more or less the same side out as we do in the league and the cup and yet we can't put a decent cup run together. Scott Murray said on BBC Bristol that we treat every cup game as a league game so why do we always loose?
jism123
Johnson doesn't have enough power over the players, what he says in build up to a cup game must go in one ear and out the other, the players know that its a cup game and doesn't really matter. Lack of Action Man
In my opinion I think that we give the opposition to much respect in the cup especially the lower placed side. This could be because Johnson tells them to treat it as a league game where in the championship you do have to respect the ability of your opposition. Personally I was expecting the scoreline to be a reverse at the very least as I thought the final score would be 3-1. However cup runs cause a backlog of games in hand and knackerised players so this could well be a blessing in disguise
SUPER REDS
Probably with the injuries we already have and a small squad it is the best thing to be out this cup
