CarlBCFC
Anyone else close to the action? I didnt really see the whole scuffle but afterwards some bloke in a red polo shirt came out of no where and butted someone else in a white polo shirt, i know the bloke in the white polo top was involved in the original scuffle but can anyone shed any light on the original cause of this? Afterwards i saw the victim of the headbutt on the floor out cold!

CiderHider
Well. CCTV cameras would have caught it, who would honestly nut someone over a cup of bloody bovril, its foul anyway, had it been cider then, well, different story, but a meaty drink? Christ. Portland Bill
Was sat in the Dolman but had no idea about this. When/where was it? 2 mins after the game, just outside as you walk towards the park.
Gilli74
It was a few seats to the side of me ... Bit of handbags to be honest ... They are normally all friends from what I see .. But a bit of a disagreement and they just kept niggling and picking away at each other through the game.. A few extra Heated words were exchanged at the end and they all pretty much left together at the same time .. Obviously took it outside the ground .. Pickle Rick
Its not the first time in Block B this season. There was psycho wearing an old green City away shirt, with a dodgy 1970's pornstar handle bar tash in row Q (I think) who was very wound up and gave the stare after shoutung down a few rows. He then dissapeared after 70mins of the match. Don't know what happened but I just noticed shouting and fingers pointing. Most people not involved near by were laughing at it. Obviously not funny with what seemed to happen after the match.
luke_bristol
Not sure what exactly happened as I walked round the corner but opposite the park there was an incident with a 12/13 year old lad that resulted in a mounted policeman charging into the lad and knocking him down
bringbacktherobin
Its not the first time in Block B this season. Well, lets hope they place the same rules on Block B as is on the east end. More dangerous for a start.

Anyone who was sit by him knows that he really isn't going to get into a fight, so It was a bit funny seeing him get like that. The bloke in the red shirt was getting a bit heated with a guy in white polo shirt, but it was just words inside the ground.

BS3_RED
I Would just like to add that the back row of B block had nothing to do with this incident ( as we usually get the blame)
mcbcfc
and then the bloke in the red shirt knocked him clean out with his forehead after the game by the turnstiles. Having not seen it I wouldn't like to comment on that, but I wouldn't be too surprised. I was just clearing up that the 'psycho' in a green shirt isn't a trouble maker just a little dim. Olé
Dolman block B rows L & N I'm confused here, yes there was a stand up row between two blokes at the end in those two rows mentioned which got quite heated, but I could have sworn the person being attended to on the floor outside the turnstile was a teenager and therefore quite unrelated? He looked about 18-20 to me. The person being attented to was involved in the row, he then got dragged out and got through the gates and then stopped. Then a man in his 50s - 60s squared up to him having words, but out of nowhere the person in the red polo shirt did a running headbutt and then legged it, being chased by a man in a Burrusia (sp?) Dortmund shirt
MT1970
The bloke out cold on the ground outside the turnstiles was most definitely the same guy who was having the argument in front of the Dolman. I saw the argument inside the ground and watched them get ejected. Once i walked out through the exit, saw the same guy led out on the floor. He was unconcious on the floor spread out crucifix style... I didn't see the guy who hit/head butted him though. Hopefully he was ok. The a bunch of guys ran off towards Ashton road in an attempt to find the culprit.

Pickle Rick
Yeah i saw exactly the same as you plus the guy who butted him. Do you know if he is a season ticket holder? If so he can hopefully be identified and banned etc..
AlwaysRed
Maybe the stewards need more training in this. From what I saw they just pushed it out of the dolman area when they should have restrained and got the two guys who were fighting arrested which would have prevented the guy ever being nutted! The female steward I saw was more concerned about moaning to the other stewards that she wanted him charged for 'assaulting her' rather than doing her job! Nibor
Not having seen any of the incident I would think the club ought to ask the police just what the **** it is they are paying for when GBH can happen witnessed by so many without an arrest. One of the stewards was shaking the persons hand (he was involved in the scuffle) !! The stewards were very lacklustre, and where were those "Safe&Sound" people when you need them... City_pete1
If people are ejected for arguing / fighting, surely it would make sense to separate them (i.e. eject them out of different exits - defuse the situation). Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but is seems common sense to me!!?
AlwaysRed
common sense indeed, that was all that was needed. It was obvious to all in the area who was involved and it was small numbers amongst a fair few stewards, like you say just separate them and make sure they're separated until the police that are generally seen 'just standing around' come and make an arrest, simples! I left the ground quite angry at the outcome as it was so easily avoided. I'd love to know if they handled it in the same way they have been trained, if so they need retraining properly! I don't think I've seen many stewards at Ashton Gate that would have the strength or prescence to break up even a 'hangbag' fight! I presume the club pays a lot of money to have these people hovering, complete and utter waste of money.
