dazza247 Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 Last night was absolutely awesome!! Great scenes of celebration at the end-typical Roy of the Rovers stuff!! We've gotta do it now haven't we having been so close to 2nd and so close to missing out on the final?! Anyway...my night was made complete at Lloyds Bar on the Waterfront!! Just having a quick few celebratory ciders when who walks in but none other than Danny Wilson!! Shook his hand, told him it was ##cking awesome and bought him a pint of guinness!! Spoke to his son(Laurie)who seemed a real nice lad and asked why his Dad didn't sign him on at City-he laughed and said it would be a bit "suspect"!! Real impressed by Danny's humility and now have nothing more than respect for the guy. When he may get slated on here, for his tactics etc he still remains a real friendly, down-to-earth guy so will always be held in good esteem by myself!! He even managed to fit in one of his cliches-asked him who he'd prefer to meet in the final he remarked "Well it's them that'll be worried about us now"!! Was the happiest man in the world last night and have a photo of me and Danny saved on my screensaver..yes I'm sad!! P.s. Almost ruined by some bas%ard French guys trying to mug me and my mate on Park St at about 3am. Got hit in the face for no reason and a pair of real expensive glasses broken-have to go to the police station later while they check the CCTV!! Anyway let's hope I get final tickets!!

I mean you can't expect him to drink anything other than Guinness can you?!
