cockneyrobin
Yeah i saw this happen as i sit a couple of rows behind you mate, the steward was a complete c*ck. Couldnt justify why the East End boys can stand and you lads couldnt so got the radio and got you chucked out. He took a fair bit of verbal from me and a few others after you left.,think quite a few of us are going to complain about it

Mr Popodopolous
If you just sat in your seat there wouldnt have been a problem SIMPLE Let's be honest here though, the overzealous jobsworth morons in flourescent jackets who populate football stadia in this country do kill the experience of football. Same with music blaring over PA system pre kick off. What is football if you can't- having paid a fair wedge out- stand up and urge your side on? They don't have such problems in numerous European nations, hell even in Athletico Madrid's ground which I'm pretty certain was an all seater stand at the weekend fans were bouncing and singing enmasse. Again, didn't see anyone ejecting them! Pretty sure one game I saw the other season, fans were not just bouncing but bouncing on the seats! On the seats FFS, can you imagine that being permitted here!?
HormanNunter
If you just sat in your seat there wouldnt have been a problem SIMPLE What are you, the steward??? FYI mate, we were all stood for the entire first half, even the TO~~~R steward was there and said nothing. He (maybe you?) started for no reason 10 mins into the second half! Anyway Danny P, lets all put a letter of complaint in, i also left with you and loads others in shear disgust. Keep up Lino!
Danny P
Why would I give him my season ticket? Well we were surrounded by 20 police officers as we left the ground OK.
Guest Arthur Lee
Danny mate, i work for a human rights charity and if you fancy a boat load of compensation money in time for Christmas, i can help you sue this bastard out of house and home! 1. Stewards have no legal right to touch you in any way. Only the police have that right, and thats only if they arrest you. 2. To take your season ticket away from you IS THEFT. 3. Plenty of witnesses around who we can use in court to our advantage. Lets make an example out of this low life. Let me know if you want me to represent you dude (free of chargre). I can probably get you at least £10,000. Maybe more....

HormanNunter
Sounds harsh but I have little sympathy, these rules have been in place for years now. Ignore them and you run the risk of being banned. And pointing out that the east end were standing doesn't validate your cause at all.... None of us "Pointed out" that the east end were standing...............Its a well known Fact mate!

Wellred007
I was glad to see the stewards trying to do something about it. I sit in front of this lot and don't like the foul language. I am gutted about what is going on on the pitch but swear under my breath. At least the club let people stand in the East End. I have to sit down because I am not very well but feel it is unfair that the stewards get criticised for trying to get people to sit down and stop swearing. Wellred007
I assume I am the moron? I didn't say I oppose singing and cheering but it's the continual abuse and foul language I don't like. If that makes me a moron then I apologise. Wasn't trying to get you angry.
cockneyrobin
Swearing is commonplace in all parts of the ground and probably more so with recent performances down at the Gate. So does that mean that everyone who uses 'foul language' should get chucked out then?

People like u are the reason is why Ashton gate is so bloody quite, SORT IT OUT U FOOL Danny, we are all on the whole BCFC on here so, you need to start by admitting you were in the wrong(?) but that might not mean that the way you were treated was correct. There are better ways to get this sorted out than banging on about it on a football forum, you need to get in touch with the club and make your point politely to them. To be fair (and I don't like to defend those little Hitlers on a power trip), it's not the Stewards who at fault here(not all the time!), but it's to do with the red tape and legislation that the club has to abide by in order to be awarded their safety certificate. Any problems with why we need Stewards should be taken up with politicians rather than the club.

I can probably get you at least £10,000. Maybe more.... Firstly, the season ticket is property of BCFC.. they have the right to reclaim at any point if the "owner" is breaking the rules. I stand, but I understand that I'm breaking the rules. When a steward asks me to sit, I might get a bit huffy and puffy... but I sit. fairly simple. The chap is doing his job, you'd be thrown out of court in an INSTANT. and you'd deserve the court costs too. I hate this countries fascination with "compo" What has happened in this to possibly merit "£10k" ?
Guest Arthur Lee
I am very interested, what's your contact? I am 100% certain that you are the victim of at least 2 crimes - Common assault and theft. I will pass my details on to the admin/mods to give to you (i don't have Personal messages yet). In the mean time, i will conduct some reseach and get advice from my colleagues at work in order to determine the best way to proceed (we've never had a football related case before). Then i would need to sit down with you, so you can tell me exactly what happened. Then we can start to build a case. If you decide to take this further, there are few things i need to brief you on before you talk to the police & courts. Whatever you do, DO NOT talk to the police before i've had a chance to brief you. There are some things i need to explain to you about tacit legal agreements. It's all really simple, but most people never take the time to learn what their rights are, and how other people/organisations can 'null & void' your rights by using tacit agreements. I'm emailing my details now.
richie87
standing and swearing is part of football and always will be whilst people feel so passionately about it, i also believe in democracy and if the majority of that area wants to stand why should they be stopped, bending over to suite the minority is why this country sux, would love their to be a protest of standers in the block you was escorted from just to f... the steward off and make a point, atmosphere around 97% of ashton gate is non existent and is depressing when the football is slow that no 1 wants to get up and encourage the team on
