Guest RammyRobin Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 what should I do? City have finally made it to Cardiff and my Dad wants a ticket. Not much of a problem I hear you say....Well, the last seven games he's been to City have failed to win and only gained one point out of 21. Is he unlucky? He watched last nights miracle until the 87th minute before he stormed out of the house under a cloud of DOOM. What happend a minute later.. I rest my case!!! The last game he saw us win was in Cardiff against Carlise. So, there is my quandary. Do I buy the unlucky mascot a ticket for a game in a ground he's never seen us loose?
cityboy Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 Don't you dare buy him a ticket! Keep him locked away in the bathroom too so he can't jinx us by watching us on the tv either!!!!!!
Guest Neo Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 My Dad thinks he must come because we never lose when he is there! The truth is, it's all bollox. Blood must come first; already blew off a good mate (considered by text, but did ring) to say my Dad comes first. Spose what i'm saying is no matter what, if it'll leave your Dad gutted by NOT getting him a ticket, what choice do you have. By the way, what's his name? We can all sing him a song if we are firking losing
CiderEagle Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 The truth is, it's all bollox. Blood must come first; already blew off a good mate Obviously a VERY good mate by the sound of it - Neo, you just post these double entendres deliberately, don't you? Couldn't agree with you more, though, this is the sort of day out that should be remembered in years to come as a happy family memory / family adversity that you all got through together. Rammyrobin, after the turnaround on Wednesday, surely you must believe that our inevitable victory at the Mill Stad has been divinely ordained by the Almighty and His one true son Tony Rougier! In fact, your insistence on these foolish superstitions verges on blasphemy! Take the old fella along
Guest RammyRobin Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 I really don't think you understand what your saying. It's not a superstition. It's fact. He sends off negative ions wherever he is. He's supported City for 50 years. He remembers the good old days of divvy one football. A day out at the Mill Stad probably wouldn't be too much of a loss for him. If he goes.........we're doomed! Don't say I didn't warn you. Oh, I should also mention he watched the Rugger WC final until the last five minutes.....It's more than a coincidence!!

CiderEagle Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 But its a very big stadium, and his negative ions will be cancelled out by all the positive ions around him. For instance, my wife has never seen City lose, so she's DEFINITLY coming along! Admittedly she's only ever been to two games, but nevertheless its a proud record. We've beaten a lot of jinxes this year - managed to get past the playoff semis, beaten Brentford, and so on - this can be just one more! Have faith, my son !

I did read it back for posting and thought "somebody is going to pick up on that"; it was a toss up (yes I know) between you and Taz. He was quite perky after i'd finished; only took a minute
