rayer Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Is there any info out yet about CATS travel. Can I get my CATS tickets when I get my ticket tommorrow ??
rayer Posted May 21, 2004 Author Posted May 21, 2004 Just found out, its £12 for members, £16 for non.
Guest GUERNSEY TAFFY RED Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Come on the train, we had a great time last year and had a massive punch up with fellow 'city' fans en route to Cardiff.
Guest Neo Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Just found out, its £12 for members, £16 for non. How much? That's disgusting prices.
cheshire_red Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 That would definitely seem so for a 60 mile round trip!
Guest Neo Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 If I remember right it was £10 & £12 last time; anybody confirm? Ok the coach company had a bit longer to sort things last time, but, on the other hand, there will not be as many coaches needed as the number of fans travelling is significantly less. I think this sucks. Would post on SL forum, but whats the point? Colin Sexstone response will be :- "These charges are imposed by our main coach company Peter Carol who have to call on the services of many others. There is nothing we can do" It's the same response everytime just slight wording changes
RedM Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 i'm not defending them but they will say ; a) it's bank holiday weekend, shortage of coaches, drivers want to be paid more etc etc. b) due to the rise in oil prices fuel is more expensive than it was a year ago. c) It's supply and demand. We have something you the fans want/need. It's the same with the tickets. Pay up or don't go. Football is a business. These are not my views as it is all overpriced in my opinion. But of course i'll be paying. Just out of interest is the prices the same for all the playoffs or does it depend on your division? I won't even want to think about how much an FA cup ticket is!
Guest BS XI Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Ah the good ol' day's eh! Queer Park versus City in the old first division..... Free coach travel for CATS members.
RedM Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 I done some research ( I don't want to do any work!). 1st division playoffs (adult prices) £28 £38 £46 £52 2nd " " " £24 £32 £40 £46 3rd " " " £22 £28 £36 £42 Millwall FA cup ticket prices; £90 £65 £50 £25 ( cheaper than the playoffs???!!!) There was a family area available, adults £65 and kids £32.50! Cheap day out.
Admin Maesknoll Posted May 21, 2004 Admin Posted May 21, 2004 I think this sucks. Would post on SL forum, but whats the point? Try and book a coach ( a decent one, not some back street operator) and see how much it costs. I'm going on a privately organised coach and that is also £12, when its short notice, bank holiday weekend they have you by the short & curlies. Try booking a train ticket at short notice, national rail enquiries are quoting £30 return (Cheap Day Return) for the journey. Thats the 10.00 from Temple Meads, return at 18.30.
