Percy Parrot Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 right. If you want to be in the singing section. 8am tomorrow morning Ashton Park (Greville Smyth Park I think it's properly called)- towards the corner near the Wedlocks pub. This may be later than some wanted, earlier than others. BUT it's a compromise. As for price brackets- there is still MUCH confusion over just what price= what seats. After various phone calls I am no clearer! BUT I hope to clarify soon. All I know so far is that we will NOT go for the £46 ones. Expect it will be one of the cheaper bands but not 100% sure. Once we can confirm where the seats are we will post on here what the details are and put a poll on the Polls section. If that gives us a clear idea then we will go along with the majority. If not- discuss it tomorrow morning at Ashton Park. Appreciate times/price brackets will not suit everyone but this is all about giving our team the best support possible and showing our pride when it really matters. NO repeat of the embarrasment at the Mill Stad last season. ANYWAY- worry about all else later- GET TO ASHTON PARK FOR 8AM TOMORROW MORNING. WAKE UP EARLY- IT'S WORTH IT!!! PS- please reply if you will be there and how many tickets you will be buying so we can get some idea of how many in this section.
Guest Ricky BCFC Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Nice one. According to footballgroundguide.co.uk this is the usual seating plan, presumably it will be the same for us: Excluding Executive Areas, there are are normally four categories of tickets available for football games: The most expensive tickets are for the middle tier of the stadium and on the photo below they are the red band of seats across the middle of it. The second band of tickets are for the very front rows of the upper top tier, just above the row of executive boxes. The third band of seats are in the mid price category and are located around the middle of the bottom & top tiers of seating. The cheapest seats are located in three areas, where although the views are acceptable they are not as good as the other areas. The three areas are: 1) The very front rows of seats in the lower tier (if you look at the photo below they are the red seats, right down by the pitch). 2) Rows of seats at the back of the lower tier (in the photo it is the area at the back of the bottom tier, that is in shadow). Although the view is okay from this area, you feel a little cut off from the rest of the stadium, as you are sitting under the second tier. 3) Seats right at the back of the top tier, where you are furthest away from the pitch. Again the view of the playing action is fine (unless you have sight problems as your are far away from the pitch), but some of the rest of the stadium is obscured by the tubular steelwork and large video screen hanging down from the roof.
CTID 7 Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 I'm not a ST holder and require 2 tickets, i guess I'm going to have to give it a miss and wait til monday EDIT: If you are an ST holder and a member of City 2000, can you purchase 4 tickets, if so, can anyone do this and spare 2 tickets??
Guest Ricky BCFC Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 And yes as long as I am out of bed in time (will have to set the alarm!) I should be there.
Guest Huddersfield Red Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 The price brackets have a vertical distribution rather than a horizontal distribution. This means that the same row has the same price everwhere whether it's behind the goal or on the halfway line. The cheapest seats are in the nosebleeds and pitchside - it's easier to get others singing if you are behind them where the atmosphere you are trying to create will sweep down and carry serial non-singers along. There you go that's my observation. I won't be buying my own ticket and I don't know what time my brother is going down but I'll tell him the info in case he can make it for then.
Percy Parrot Posted May 21, 2004 Author Posted May 21, 2004 poll about to be put up in Polls Section for you all to choose price bracket- please reply or decision will be made tomorrow morning by those present. Details of where seats are are available at http://www.bcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsD...~526873,00.html
Percy Parrot Posted May 21, 2004 Author Posted May 21, 2004 poll active at http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=13274
Percy Parrot Posted May 21, 2004 Author Posted May 21, 2004 Godzilla and Wesco are both in on this buying quite a few tickets I think as well! Maybe they can confirm? Dave (Oneforthe) and the band are also hopefully buying with us- I think the drums will come but don't think the brass will. Looking good
elko Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Well I won't be there at that time, but when you buy then everyone, could you tell me where they are so I can sit close enough to add my voice to the atmosphere? Cheers
Percy Parrot Posted May 21, 2004 Author Posted May 21, 2004 had word that we should be able to chose which tier we are in if we go for the £32 tickets- SO poll at moment says £32 tickets and I know all the drummers etc won't go higher- so probably will be £32 price category and we will have to check that the tickets being sold to us are for middle of the upper tier not middle of the lower tier. I won't be there buying tickets (Wesco will be getting mine to save me journey from London)- so make sure whoever is first checks that they are for the UPPER TIER please.
Guest ATYES6 Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Ill be there at 8 am to oversee all goings on.Should be getting 5 tickets tomorow.Even if there is only 20 of us that is more than enough to get it all going.
Chris Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Looks like I've been nominated by Dave (oneforthe) to help out getting tickets in the morning. If we are able to state which tier, then we should definately go for Upper Tier £32 is the general consensus.
Guest cidered Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 We should go for the £32 tickets and ask to be seated in the middle of the top tier
Guest Red_Rat Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 How much is upper tier for juvenilles as i am coming down at 8am tomorrow and want to know how much to bring?
