Red Cloud Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 did anyone see any? - from 9:50 to 2:20 there wasn't! Another potential money earner by the club gone to waste!
bristolcityup Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 Yeh but in the past the club has always handed out free tea and coffe for que waiters..
Guest smarty Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 I got a free tea at 11.00 near the front of the queue, then another about 25 mins later. But I was queuing from 7.50am. Why didn't they move along the queue? Also why were there no people selling City goodies to the queue. All it needed was some young lad to carry some flags, scarves, badges etc... up and down the queue. A prime place to raise some much needed revenue in my book. (And relieve the boredom).
bristolcityup Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 Good point, these days marketing ideas like that are a must if football clubs want to improve the marketing side of there club.
wesco Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 don't know if it was free but there was tea being served and there was also a burger van
Guest ziderhead2003 Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 On the website it says that there was tea and coffee being served! I did'nt see any though!
bristolcityup Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 Lee Mathews must have been at the front of the que for tickets, thats why there was no tea left..
Guest RedwardsV1 Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 in this weather they should be handing out coca-colas and all that not fot food and drink
Guest claloudav Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 they could of sold a lot of merchandise in the queue oh well there the ones loosing out we can just give our money to random street peeps selling flags n stuff on the day
Guest WestburyRed Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 in this weather they should be handing out coca-colas and all that not fot food and drink Drinks such as tea are actually one of the best things you can drink in hot weather.
bristolcityup Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 Not being sarcastic but why not hand out free plastic cups of Cider for people queing in the afternoon, great in hot weather
Taz Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 Tea and coffee was on offer free of charge. Admittedly the only time I saw this was at the end of the queue though.
Guest Mickey Bells left foot Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 they started to hand out free water after 12 noon
Guest RedDragon Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 My Grandad and Uncle got a bottle of water, think that was just after 12, although they were quite near the front by then
newboy Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 I was there for 4 and half hours and didn't see a single free drink. The only burger van open was the one after the ticket offices. Why they couldn't: - do it via the internet - get free drinks out to all but a small minority - or even charge for drinks - sell merchandise .. is beyond me. Really wouldn't have taken much to sort out... Still - I suppose if they're charging £40 for the ticket the odd £10k on drinks etc doesn't really add up to much.
Guest bcfcsols Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 I didnt see any. I was dissapointed as I was expecting something to keep me going in the 3 hours wait
